The Center for Public Integrity released a pretty damning report about Trump's ties to Iranian Terrorism. This is pretty awkward for a candidate who has repeatedly slammed Clinton for cutting deals with 'our foreign adversaries.'

The Center for Public Integrity

Trump inherited Bank Melli, one of Iran’s largest state-controlled banks, as a tenant when he purchased the General Motors Building on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, according to public records reviewed by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and the Center for Public Integrity. The Trump Organization kept the bank on as a tenant for four more years after the U.S. Treasury Department designated Bank Melli in 1999 as being controlled by the Iranian government.

U.S. officials later alleged that Bank Melli had been used to obtain sensitive materials for Iran’s nuclear program. U.S. authorities also alleged that the bank had been used between 2002 and 2006 to funnel money to a unit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard that has sponsored terrorist attacks — a period that overlapped with the time the bank rented office space from Trump. The Trump Organization’s dealings with the Iranian bank shed more light on Trump’s wide-ranging business interests, which sometimes stand at odds with his blunt declarations on the campaign trail.

Trump has denounced Iran as a “big enemy,” blasted Hillary Clinton for not taking a harder line against the Iranian regime and charged that donations from foreign governments to the Clinton Foundation amounted to evidence of corruption. His five-year stint as Bank Melli’s landlord provides an example of the Trump Organization itself doing business with a government hostile to the United States.

This is certainly hypocritical of the Republican candidate but I feel it ultimately will not matter. Just like Trump's support for sharia law because it makes divorce so much easier...

You don't understand...
Trump does these things and then exposes the corruption afterwards.

There is nothing wrong with this practice, believe me.

WHAT?!!??

WHAT?!?!?

Dude, if you just really don't want Hillary or think he will do the right thing, because every president wants to leave a good legacy, that's fine.

But don't pretend he only did it to "uncover the truth for the common man" when really he was just being a corporate slime ball.

Don't worry, Trump supporters will be here shortly to tell us why this is ok, and ask why don't we focus on Hillary's crimes.

Trump is a landlord. He has tenets. Your landlord isn't complicit in the crimes you commit. That's like saying your landlord is guilty of specious accusations because you are.

Exactly.

If anybody is complicit in crimes in this case it is the DOJ and Treasury Dept. for allowing the bank to operate.

Good thing nobody said he was involved in their criminality.

Otherwise your argument would be specious.

He might have been breaking the law by not renting the space to them.
I own several rental properties one of which is commercial and I have all kinds of rules to follow.

One of his renters was bad?

I can't even take this seriously.

What's that smell in the air?

Democratic desperation.

What's next, he deals with cartels because his sammich maker sells something?

So apparently (according to Trump):

taking money from a foreign government hostile to the U.S. for your charity foundation = bad

taking money from a foreign government hostile to the U.S. for your own profit = smart business

As every American knows by now, Hillary has committed crimes. Funding ISIS is a fact. Donald has ties all over the planet. Some of them will turn out to be "bad apples", but most will not.

Americans who are not ready for a Billionaire president, should curl up in the corner, suck thy thumb, and vote ABT (Anybody But Trump) on November 8th.

And if it had been Hillary the Trumpster's would be all over it.

Its about the hypocrisy.

At the time, the U.S. had a sweeping embargo in place which prohibited Americans from doing business with Iran, including receiving rent payments. However, some Iranian organizations were granted licenses exempting specific transactions from sanctions. If the payments were licensed, it may have been legally difficult for the Trump Organization to evict the bank.
