Deputies are at an Upstate elementary school after a report of a possible shooting.

Anderson County Sheriff's Office Lt. Sheila Cole confirmed that the shooting was reported at Townville Elementary School at 105 State Road in Townville in Anderson County.

Armed officers were at the school by about 2 p.m. Multiple law enforcement vehicles lined the driveway.

Parents were waiting nearby and children were being brought out of the back of the school.

The evacuated students moved by bus to Oakdale Baptist Church at 6724 Highway 24 in Townville.

Possible shooting reported at Townville Elementary, deputies say

This is still breaking as we speak. Editing this thread as it comes in. Reports are contradictory at best.

A life flight rescue helicopter was reported landing and taking off with both injured children on board.

One adult dead, one adult injured (teacher), two children injured (shot), both children were airlifted to the hospital.

The one dead adult is reported to have been found behind the school a short distance away from the scene. No more news on the connection here, other than there is a concrete connection.

The shooter in custody; a teenager. Seems like a Lone Gunman scenario.

Thanks for reports from:

At least three children have been injured in a shooting at Townville Elementary School in Anderson County, according to scanner traffic. EMS and LifeFlight are responding to the scene along with units from multiple law enforcement agencies.

A LifeFlight helicopter with at least one patient board was seen leaving the scene.

The coroner said that a man was dead near the school and the death is possibly related to the incident at the school, reporter Mike Ellis from the Independent Mail reported on Twitter. The second scene was on Osborne Road about a mile and a half from the school in Townville.

Medshore reported that three people were treated and transported from the scene.

Speculation of be related to another shooting.

Very impressed that the media hasn't jumped to 3 possible shooters. Even more impressed that the shooter was taken alive.

Edit:

From the link in the OP

The Anderson County Coroner's Office is headed to a reported death on Osborne Road in Townville that officials say is connected with the incident at the school.

Kind of weird that they know this already. Wonder if the guy told on himself?

Mass shootings are increasing at an almost exponential rate as we get closer to the election. I don't believe in coincidence, and an awful lot of people are starting to 'snap'. I believe the pertinent question is WHY?

The shooter is a teenager. There are two children and one teacher taken to the hospital.

I honestly wonder at times, when kids snap and go and kill others, what could have been the trigger that caused it. Were they bullied? Were they ignored? Were they on mental health drugs? I remember way back when I was a kid, I had access to plenty of guns, yet never did I think "dammitt, gonna go shoot my classmates". Are kids more sensitive? Or do they spend so much time online they are desensitized to anything but their little bubble.

Not saying a kid did this, but some reports said it was.

It is not "people" it is men 99% of the time.

But no one wants to talk about that because men are too fragile to handle the conversation. They always get way too defensive and start crying about SJW and feminism. blah blah blah.

There needs to be a national conversation about men and mental health.

You're preaching to the choir. I am female and worked in mental health for years. Men are more likely to snap and be violent towards others. Not 100% of the time, but enough that you can almost definitely say this was a male shooter without knowing much else.

I read a great book a while ago called "The Trouble With Testosterone". Makes me wonder if all of the pollution which actually creates lower testosterone and greater estrogen is done on purpose........This hormone is handy if you want to be protected, or you want something built and a man will get on it to show off for you, but not that great if you are in a society that expects everybody to be milque toast and polite.

Design.

What you must ask yourself is, which party does it tend to aid the most in getting voters on their side?

Lone gunman again. Was he in a "zombie like" state like many other shooters have been, this is one of my first questions.

I hope the 2 students and teacher are okay and that the students and anyone traumatized by this experience has the support and resources they need to overcome the implications of such a tragedy.

Easy peasy......The dems are full of gun-fearing people who would gladly give up their freedom for the illusion of safety.

I also wonder what is going on here and how it is so conveniently timed to go right after the first debate. Coincidence? I am not sure it is.

So men are not people? Odd logic. Women just load their kids in the car and drive them into a lake.....

I think there is plenty of mental issues on both sides.

Which men cry about that?

I do see the hypocrisy in it, tho, because "SJWs" are the ones who tend to scream out against profiling, yet this is a form of profiling.

Don't get me wrong--profiling is just intelligent to do, IMO, when you look at stats, find the most likely type of individual to do something, and you start a discussion around that.

What do you want to know about men? I've been one for 37 years (almost 38), if you're interested in a discussion of what I might know. I'll answer whatever I can, even through the tears of defensiveness...

Women seem to only shoot their husbands in order to end a relationship. Not many shooting sprees out n the world.

Speaking as a man who has had more decades experience at being a man than I wish to convey, I agree.
