I believe in England you may be a bit
kinder to people who are homeless.
The main Catholic Church in downtown
San Francisco turns on special water sprinklers
to soak and make sure Jesus's favorite people are cold.
You know, as God intended.

Any videos of said deed by the Catholic Church.?

No kidding, if the weather is so bad that they need tents, they should just swim/walk to the south of France. I hear good things about the area.

Thank you so much for your support. We have moved twice since the art gallery and once again today when we occupied land inside Leeds university campus . This will not end until our homeless are treated like human beings. Their days living up back streets like rats are over . Thanks again .
HOMELESS NOT WORTHLESS!!!

I contacted my MP via social media so it is public
Initially drawing his attention
to what was happening re Tent City
with a link to the facebook page

"are you aware of this ...can you help?
It is not only a local but a national issue"
I left out his name and mine also for privacy reasons

I got a reply ... "only just heard about it, we certainly must always try to do more to prevent homelessness."

I have posted him a further question
"With respect ... Any chance of raising this issue in Parliment"

He has prob gone to bed by now but I will keep you posted of any response

Re: Tent City People

I have contacted my MP yet again as he missed or ignored my request to him
To raise this issue in Parliment ... after all they are supposed to represent us All
I have done this publicly again ... and it has caught the attention of a Welsh MP

I am disgusted not only at mans inhumanity to man, but even
more so by his greed. If we don't understand enough to put ourselves
before money. And consider kindness, rather than cost. Then perhaps
we deserve Hillary Clinton. We need to equalize. Do away with all
forms of the monetary system. For the love of money is the root of
all evil. And to deny a human being shelter, cleans cloths and a clean
place to shower, is not just rigid. It is evil and inhuman.

Hi.
As you might have seen on TV etc we managed to make the council accept defeat . Over 2 days this week we took our homeless guys into the housing office and worked with their employees.
They housed 19 homeless into their own flats , houses and another 12 went into temporary private accommodation while awaiting council properties.
All money including bonds and rent in advance was met by the council . We didn't challenge the university for possession of their land and having achieved what we set out to do we ended the protest.
Leeds city council have been warned that we won't hesitate to repeat tent city should their treatment of the homeless revert to their old ways.
Thankyou to everyone who supported a very successful Leeds Tent City.
Solidarity and compassion

Thankyou brother.
We have for the moment beaten Leeds City Council into submission but they are the first of many.
We are currently in talks with like minded people from Hull, Nottingham, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester.
We will be hitting Hull first but plan to unpick every corrupt council in the UK one city at a time.
You will be seeing a lot more from us . Thanks again for your continued support. We have been humbled by the support we have had from people all over the world.
Solidarity.

Tiny homes are the answer but we need to free up planning permission laws.
I worked out for 100k I could build 20 tiny homes in a wood be all eco friendly and such but Noooo not allowed to build them for people to live in.
Oh and Leeds I'm in west Yprkshire.

It amazes me that the govt. seem to not only turn a blind eye but get in the way of helping the homeless.

As a starting point, how difficult can it be to make and design a one person tent with sleeping bag and airbed built in to it? What would it cost to make ... £50 in bulk? Just make 2 million of them for £100m total (peanuts) and issue them in every city to the homeless people. Warmth and shelter - and portable.
