Personally, I'm very against nonlethal weapons...
First, because Murphy tells us friendly fire, ISN'T!
This correlates to another maxim you can count on.
non-lethal weapons, AREN'T!
There's no such thing as a nonlethal weapon, just ones that don't kill very often.
My issue though, is that if the wielder feels like using it doesn't risk killing the subject their inhibitions to use and abuse of the weapon and
power itself drop radically.
If you disagree look up the Stanford or wherever university prison experiment...
It's not that I think cops etc are bad... Or good for that matter.
BUT
What I KNOW is that human nature SUCKS!
Basically the same reason I'm militantly pro 2nd amendment... Speaking bluntly, I'm not comfortable with any single individual or group having that
kinda power over ANYONE else.
