thank god for rational thinking but please lets get back on topic lol. I know its great to debate over the ethics of magic and all but its not the subject at hand. Does anyone else have any questions about magic they would like answered without the i don't think magic is possible or thats not true stuff go ahead ask.

Because one needs to focus on things that are not perceived. What you cannot see is real. This is why Christians close their eyes in prayer, so they can focus on God and not all the distractions going on all round. Can you pray with your eyes open? Certainly.

All this material crap you see around you will all turn to dust one day and all of us will be long gone before then. Think about 80 years of life (if you're fortunate), then think about eternity. This 80 years is just a stitch in the fabric of eternity. It's important then to find out what's out there to see where you'll be after the end of your life.

Hello just started majik. think subtil, or non direct. You will probably never shoot a fireball out of your hands. but who knows mabey someone me, you, or some random person will be able to I dont know.

i find it hard visualising clearly on positive things, the negative stuff, i find appears easier. does anyone else have this happen to them, were you think of things you wouldnt do first, before you think of the things you would like to do.

I get that when im meditating . It's even harder still to enter a headspace were you hear and see nothing think nothing and somehow in the process you can manipulate your body mechanics to feel nothing. Very hard to do but very neat.

yeah i know what you mean, ive noticed that too. Whilst meditating, relaxing or just observing your own body language have you noticed that you think about the same things, in the same order like a cycle or spiral?
Theres certain parts of your personality that just cant be changed through meditating, or maybe you can change but it will take a long time.
I think about things that i never used to notice, like how i react to certain things like.. with a wink or nod, a head shake or a cough, or even which way my head turns first. Ive realised that each and every body movement, muscle twitch and what thing has just caught your attention is like a word in its self and those words make up sentences which are read by other people but not really perceved, you or they might just get a feeling or thought about someone in passing, it may not be pysicaly true but the thought had to have been created by someone.
my point being made is that there is a cycle by what we live by and everyone IS connected, people can study themselves as if they was an animal

But the true hard thing to do as i understand is to basically calm and relax all muscles and zero in on the functions and such of specific ones. like for instance say your meditating and you are concentrating on nothing more than a white circle. (its hard to do i know) When you think about your heart rate you can change the rate and power of your heart beat by simply imagining a different color or size to the ring thats one neat trick i have learned so far. I find with the random thoughts its easiest to imagine a box where all your thoughts go and there is nothing it is a void you become silent inside and bring to mind an image(in my case the white circle) it was very hard in the beginning but it got far easier when i drew all the images on paper and stared at them for a while now i can remember them at anytime i have taken to meditating while on break at work.

Anyway theres lots of neat things you can do with meditation and imagery but my point is how does meditating help you to visualize magical energy. The energy must appear differently to every person. What is your perception of the energy(anyone can answer this) just curious?

My perception of the energy is, it's a shared energy and people have to compromise as to the distribution and use of it. Wether we like it or not our bodies are communicating constantly, via the collective conscious. and whatever we think up, has to be agreed upon by others.
If, however, you could lead the communicating in the direction you wanted it to go, then you would bypass their psychic defences, just be careful what you wish for, it might come true. I will try that heart rate changing you spoke of, and i will try to create a clear image of the white ball.
i dont usually image glowing balls, i used to imagine conflict scenes, i learned to punch poeple in the next room and knock the wind out of them,
i can make them sick, or go to sleep, i can cause psychic conflict but the pc usualy crashes or something. I'm trying to move away from that frame of mind to one of a more controlled manner. By imagining the energy balls and ways to apply them i guess i can move in a new direction in life.
That techinique of the conflict is, you have to imagine the fight from the two extreme poles and the balanced middle way so everything will stay normal.

I was reading that before the catastrophies the 9/11 thing and the tsunami people in drem research laboratories rem readings were off the scale and all not just random result every single one of them had strangely high readings.

And i believe the control factor of imagery is neccessary to attain "magic" results. First starting with basics like meditating to clear the mind distractions and other thoughts. If you can attain the basics then it is possible to move on to spells and rituals and such because you will be much more able to focus the "energy " on what you want to acheive. This is all very interesting though. I haven't actually gone past the meditation stage as i am finding lots of interesting things out. It's like being stuck in a room with yourself outside of time and space and havign very deep conversations about things you never normally think about.
The other day i was contemplating the rate at which the earth is spinning in my head based on what i had seen in my past experiance doing nothing but remembering visuals from day to day life at the same time i was remembering several songs note for note at the same time. It's amazing what you can do in your head if you have a very clear thought process not impaired by anything.

when your in a meeting with someone, you should project the world spinning, by playing the visualisation in the back ground, you might give them the sense of spinning or confusion. ive heard that the world spins as fast as a bullet. maybe they'll go dizzy.

spells do not work immediatly, it takes a few days. It is not like Harry Potter or any other program on the T.V. There is no ral "holy grail" places to perform magic. You can just perform it in your house or anywhere all you have to do is cast a circle but remember to close it at the end.

I have recently moved to toronto and i am living quite happily now i have access to a multitude of new occult books and i have met a self proclaimed warlock.

However this is not my point of thought i wished to discuss. I was in chinatown the other day and i had found an amber beed bracelete. Somewhat like the one jet lee has in lethal weapon 4. I broke the bracelete and handed the beeds to those of which i believed were worthy. I am quite impressed at the fact that every incident that has ocurred to me in the span of time since i found the beeds has been unprecedented and ridiculously unique. I do noty know much about the spiritual side of amber other than that it is fossilized. Something that has been around for like 5 million years has a lot of spiritual energy in it and i believe that thes beeds have influenced a lot of events in my recent wanderings. I am now avidly suspecting that magic is real and quite amazing on what effects it has.

For instance my friend happily handed out some violence one day and the next day was treated with his own medicine. so please tell me, anybody, what effects do amber beeds have.

In my opinion i think that these beeds were like magical enhancments of the will of your mind. heres another example of the ridiculousness. i gave one beed to each of my two friends and amazingly enough whenever any of us is split up from the other and we think about one of the others somehow within minutes we would all meet eachother.

Anyway, opinions are quite welcomed even if your bashing what i have a new belief in because i am open minded and would very much enjoy any stories of others magical exploits.

Everything is possible... don't look for books or people to tell you, do what feels "right" ... protect yourself the way you feel protected...

I find it really stupid how humans learn these days, I'll use the Buddha as an example...

The Buddha.. an avid learner, and throughout his journies favored this one tree, it had shaded him and provided shelter, so out of admiration he meditated and focused on the tree... Now-a-days everyone still meditates on the same tree and people go out and buy their own to meditate on..... What I'm getting at is that this is absolutely stupid.... Why wouldn't people get their own ideas, live their own lives, make their owns order out of the chaos? People need to stop living other peoples lives...

None of the questions you're asking are really worth answering.. not that they're stupid questions just that they're the wrong questions to be asking..

It isn't the place physically that matters... it's your mental state, and it isn't whether you can do it or not, it's how... and the only way to find out how, is to do it yourself...... Understand what it means FOR YOU and TO YOU... but honestly you're better off writing your own books and making your own spells ...

But I'm telling you now, be prepared to do some real learning in the school of life if you plan on paying attention to the energy, otherwise it's like your nose... it's there but you can't see it.

o i just want to cry you. most of you seem so blissfully unaware of some of your magickal blunders. there IS an almost infinite amount of spells that can be used for anything you see spells froms books and sites and where ever arnt the only spells avalible out there. you CAN make your own infact there are times when you MUST make your own you see not every form of magic has been exploited yet so if you want to use that kind of magic ull have to invent it yourself. HOWEVER!!! there are 'rules' to making magic. magic seems to sometimes like to exploit loop holes in complex spells and some times you mite have a death spell (kills things) as aposed to a comunication with death spell (talk to dead) so i advise look for USED spells befor making your own if only to protect your self from blunder. remember use your source as templates

hermes trismegistus, aaron, moses, abremalin, albertus magnus, and a few things in francis barrett got it right.

you still shouldn't mess with it, unless you like having your soul eaten.

and trust me, you wouldn't.
