With so much attention on police shooting unarmed civilians, you would think police officers would be less likely to discharge their weapons. If I was a police officer, the chances of being sent to prison for accidently shooting an unarmed civilian would be enough for me to say "screw this I'm looking for a different job."

I don't really know what happen. Haven't heard both sides of the story. Only know one side says he had a book and the other side said he had a gun.
I do know this, burning, stealing and destroying others property along with putting others lives in danger doesn't help your cause much.

You are absolutely right the police are out of control....
Ok, so essentially what we get here is that bodycams should be required in every department in the country. Since Charlotte already does require them
. . . there should be video. If there is not, then that officer just lost his best defense and probably his job for not having proper equipment. As
for weapon or not . . . it is he said she said until the court decides if one was involved etc... And sorry, just because the suspect was black
don't make it racist. But of course now all officers are racist against blacks even the black ones right?

Except . . . that these 'protests' are uncalled for. They are not protests. Protests are peaceful, this is rioting and vandalism. When you break into a store and steal stuff, you are not protesting you are being criminal. Essentially a bunch of criminal said that there was a shooting of who cares who, so let's go steal some stuff and trash the neighborhood because we can get away with it right now. There are some intelligent folks, let me tell you (sarcasm people - for those whom don't get the concept).

Funny part is stuff like this will cause the good police to find work in other cities leaving only the scum. And even they will refuse tO go into black neighborhoods. All this is doing is making sure there lives become worse. Because any one with half a brain will find other work.

His daughter said he was shot because he was black. That means that she thinks racism is involved. So she's saying thr black police officer was a racist. That's what I'm trying to figure out how that works exactly. If the protest was say against police brutality that would be one thing but the protestors think he was shot because he was black. Doesn't make sense at all to me.
That's because the Black Lives Matter movement is a non-sequitur. The whole racist argument is a non-sequitur. In fact, LBGTQ, BLM, Feminism, and just about every and any human "rights" movement going on right now is a non-sequitur. There just is no institutional racist/oppressive system in place. It's a 'figment' of their imagination and doesn't exist. All of these movements have been created from scratch and nurtured into an ideology of 'us vs them' or the oppressed vs the oppressors. AKA, Cultural Marxism.

I always thought Charlotte N.C. was a well-balanced city emotionally and financially. (Have relatives there) It probably doesn't matter if you have a "lone wolf" police officer who's trigger happy though.
