Comey said he wasn't sure, but he thinks they knew.

He did confirm for a fact that stonetear is indeed Paul Combetta and indicated the strong possiblity that Mills was the, "they" Combetta was included in who he was talking about in that post.

I'm watching it now and he's flip-flopped on whether they knew about it or not. Lost track of what his current stance is..

Ok, thanks...that's what I understood, too.

He confirms Stonetear was Combetta, but not confident about saying they even knew about the Reddit post. Yeah...that makes zero sense.

The idea that he was not well briefed about the Reddit post before going into that hearing is laughable.

So, if they knew and granted immunity that shows collusion on the part of the DoJ; remember, FBI does not grant immunit, Justice does.

If they didn't know, that shows incompetence on the part of the FBI.

In either case, we need a special prosecutor.

And regardless of all of it, Combetta deleted evidence at Reddit, just a week+ ago. His immunity cannot possibly protect him from being prosecuted for that.

If it was Mills, as I understand it, her immunity would not protect her either. Is that correct? Her immunity protected her from prosecution based directly on the contents of her laptop...or was there more that I missed?

So...we can expect her to plead the 5th if questioned by Congress. And will Comey ever have to say with certainty who 'they' was? Did he say he would have to go back and check an get back with them?

How can Comey not have provided any concrete answers and expect to not be called a 'weasel?'

How can he not know how important that Reddit post was to the investigation and be prepared to answer any question about it?

I posted my thought on this hearing on the thread about Comey being grilled, but if people would like I could post them here. I don't want to be obnoxious and be spamming multiple threads though, so it is up to everyone else.

What I did not hear though, was the word 'conspiracy.' I heard discussion on whether Mills possibly directed Combetta to alter the email addresses, but not the implication that her direction would indicate a conspiracy.

As soon as Combetta posted his question on Reddit, he took an action in furtherance of a conspiracy and when he kept asking for advice after being told it was illegal if the archive was under a discovery order, then those were other actions in furtherance of a conspiracy to tamper with evidence.

Did anyone bring up the word conspiracy and I missed it?

nobody nobody asked how or why PRN had access to classified emails, or much MORE IMPORTANTLY
how classified materiel got.from a classified system to a private system in the first place

Btw, snopes needs to change their article:

The identity of u/stonetear has not yet been confirmed, and an attorney for Platte River Networks has declined to comment on the claims.

is now false as Director Comey affirmed that stonetear is indeed Paul Combetta.

Not holding my breath though.
