We're supposed to believe this is a dead issue now? Trump made sure he signaled to his racist supporters so that he doesn't lose them... he was announced by a birther and his campaign CEO, Steve Bannon's Breitbart News ran the story with a picture of Harambe.

Which part of "Obama was born in The United States. Period" did you not understand? That sounds pretty clear to me. I just can't see why it is racist. Bannon introducing him does not mean it was a hidden signal. Come on now!

I didn't say it was racist. I said he signaled to his racist supporters. Now before you get upset at my use of racist supporters, I do not mean that to be his supporters are racist but the supporters that happen to be racist.

Also Bannon didn't introduce Trump. Bannon's "news" site, Breitbart News ran the news of the bait and switch presser with a picture of Harambe. Noted birther, Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney introduced Trump.

It's a bit of a stretch. I saw it as an impressive display of military support for Trump and clarity on his birther views.
I go with what is said rather than look for an ulterior motive.

Nations are races now. For instance it was racist to question Cruz's citizenship, because it offends the Canadian race.

I have said for a while that the ease at which 'racist' is bandied around to shut people up or discredit them is very damaging.
The real racists are able to hide as the whole meaning of racism gets watered down to the point where it's not even a big deal.

Are you able to point me in the direction of this article with Harambe? Because yes, that is racist in my opinion, and I'd wish to see it with my own eyes, but I cannot find it.

He's made a career out of duping people. What do you think he's doing with his supporters? And they are probably gullible enough to believe the gigantic stinking lie that Hilary started the Birther movement. Unreal, oh well, when he loses he'll have hordes of new suckers for his Trump Network. It's win-win for him. Enriching himself with a new scam and not having to do that hard President job.

Her campaign head in 2008 has already admitted it was someone on Hillary's campaign that fed the birther rumours, and now an editor has come forward to say that Hillarys top aid was asking him to investigate whether Obama was born in Kenya.

It's also already common knowledge that it was started by Clinton supporters in 2008 when she was losing to Obama.

How dumb is it to piss off the collective media less than 2 months before the presidential election? Then he & his supporters will turn around & whine about why the media doesn't cover him in a positive way.

I'm almost convinced that he's trying to throw the election. And is supporters don't even seem to understand the possible ramifications of stunts like this.

Not really - the news media has just recorded it's lowest ranking ever for trust. You are in the minority if you believe what they say.

It has nothing to do with what I believe or not. It has everything to do with pissing off the collective media 7 weeks before the most important election in our country. They're literally the ones who control the narrative. Only a fool would intentionally piss them off while still campaigning for any office whatsoever. At its worst, it's political suicide.

If they think they have that much power then they deserve all the punk they get.

And so do their blind fans.

And Trump DID make a statement on the birther BS.

You guys keep running with that old stuff, it'll get you nowhere.

Looks like they took it down, but it's still on the thumbnail when you search Breitbart for Birther Bait and Switch.

Who brought up birtherism this time around? I believe it was the Hillary campaign (again.)

Then the media is following the narrative. It's blowing up in all of their faces.

Trump only said he has a big announcement and never mentioned birtherism. The media, having already received their marching orders, automatically perceive it as Trump having a press conference for it. That's because they are so conditioned to follow their narrative and pursue it, then use it against Trump. It's their fault for fooling themselves. They were exposed for the hacks they are.

Trump should be commended as other politicians think they need to kiss ass to get favorable media attention. Trump knows he won't and plays their negativity in his favor.

Because they're so in the tank and they're so butthurt that they are leaving no doubt That they are nothing more than an extension of the democratic party. They are completely discredited.

Hillarys mate, Philip J. Berg, filed a birther lawsuit against Obama when she was running against him in 08 & I certainly recall the first allegation coming from her camp back then.

It was an extraordinary play of the news media by the Donald. On the birthed issue, he handled it the best way possible.

Of course, when he is elected President, he could bring the whole matter up again, present the case in full resulting in a legal determination that Obama was not in fact born in the USA and thereby declare all actions of the Obama Administration null and void resetting the legislative and regulatory clock back to the last day of George W. Bush's final term.

All of that is a very, very tall order to accomplish, but if the Trump people have unreleased information, it could become a huge three ring circus.
