I'm wondering how the quote already being examined isn't saying EXACTLY that already. In FACT, it looks like you are just pretending he wasn't serious so you don't have to admit he made a stupid suggestion. I've read that quote something like 20 times now and I still don't see what you are saying. I see a man scared of being called out for his falsehoods wanting a debate without a moderator so people don't call him on his falsehoods *Ahem* I mean "media biases"*ahem*

Did Trump say "I call for an debate with no moderators"?

So he has to say those EXACT words in order for you to see him calling for a debate with no moderators? Lol. No wonder why you refuse to see what everyone else sees.

I'm of the opinion that if Marco Rubio had, after he was insulted by Trump one last time, jumped over and landed on Trump and beaten the krap out of him, he'd be the nominee now.

But yeah, by all means, let's talk seriously about what the guy who refers to himself by his own last name wants, lest he be called on his constant lies that no one can keep up with.

That whole third person thing is weird isn't it?
Like he's royalty. ( or suffering multiple personality disorder where his not trump when he says that but some alternate personality like betty sue or something. )
He's already displayed a multitude of personality disorders so this isn't such a stretch.
But really why talk like that? Everyone's noticed it by now.
Weird.

One second we're talking about what Trump says, now we're not.

Don't change the conversation on me. I've been talking about Trump's words from minute 1.

You just don't know what he 'really' meant. Don't worry someone will be by soon to explain how he didn't real mean that, just that he thinks the system is unfair.

another paranoid episode....let's remember that everyone is out to get the Donald, it has nothing to do with what he says or his actions.

“I think, maybe, we should have no moderator,” Trump said on CNBC. “Let Hillary and I sit there and just debate. I think the system is being rigged so it’s going to be a very unfair debate. And I can see it happening right now. Everyone’s saying that [Lauer] was soft on Trump. Well now, the new person’s going to try and be really hard on Trump just to show the establishment what he can do. So, I think it’s very unfair what they’re doing. I think we should have a debate with no moderators, just Hillary and I sitting there talking.”

So you've read into a conversation of Trump saying what he thinks as a call for a debate with no moderators? Is he making this call to officials? Is the call made to MSNBC? is he making the call to whom?

Who knows when it comes to Trump? He says things and expects the world to shape to his words anyways.

It's quite simple. The call for no moderators is a call to someone. Or is he just stating what he thinks?

Not when it comes to Trump it isn't. Like I said, he has a different idea of how reality works. I'd fully expect him to meander during an interview about a call for no moderators, be 100% serious, and expect the CPD to change to him. Then if it doesn't, he'll say something about it. Good thing he's getting a ton of flak for suggesting a boneheaded idea.

Even you can't seem to bring yourself to support this idiotic idea (at least it doesn't seem like it). Hence your insistence that it is merely a suggestion and not a real request.

Whom is he calling on to change the debate format?

I already answered that question. I'm sorry that you don't approve of the answer but I'm not answering it again.

No moderator would be a mess. I don't doubt it would get high ratings, but would anything be accomplished? It would literally be two people shouting at each other for a couple hours. Have you ever watched a serious argument between a couple that dislikes each other? That's what we would be watching... what would be accomplished?

I think you've exactly nailed it. That's the way I feel about it. It would accomplish nothing other than people taking sides simply for emotional reasons. Some people like fights (which is why, I suppose, that brutal things like dog fights still take place) but I agree that they don't solve anything.

Apparently Hilary Clinton asked the same of Obama in 2008:

AFTER....21 moderated debates with Pres. Obama
en.wikipedia.org...

And that was for the Democratic Nomination.

Trump is chickening out of the FIRST Presidential debate.......At a minimum setting the stage for him to back out and at least working hard to lower the expectations of his followers.

He is the WORST loser I have ever seen...He shouts how everything is rigged against him...unless he wins..the he boasts.

isn't that called "a distinction without a difference"?.....he is an adult, 70 years old, he should by now know, what words mean when they come out of his own mouth.

My point is, either he calls for a debate with no moderators, or he thinks there should be a debate with no moderators. One is a demand, the other is a statement of opinion.
