Well, today's washed up. I get down to the truck place (an hour away) only to find out that the price they gave me over the phone was wrong. It's $200 more than what I had. So, I have to have that check after all. Hopefully tomorrow.

I'm down the way at my friend's. He's the only decent one here. His cabin is on the property but they're too lazy to come down. Thankfully. The drunk is passed out on the couch (probably peed on it). The others are gone.

I seem to have slept most of the day away, but I slept like a baby.

Skid, the check is probably late. I hope the drunk didn't know you were waiting for a check to arrive. Did you say anything about the price quote over the phone and the 200 dollar difference when you arrived? That is not good business practice! I would be so pissed!

True! I still have books in baskets and on shelves waiting to be read. I usually get my books at second hand stores or this online place that sells books from different second hand bookshops. I usually get a book in almost new condition for a few bucks and no postage. Maybe 3 to 4 bucks for a hard cover.

It was Budget. The site said $378. Then there's the $150 deposit. Then insurance. Oh well. Maybe I'll get the check tomorrow. The place is open until noon. If the mail runs early enough I might be able to just make it in time.

I already have my stuff out of the house. I did that last night just in case the drunk was up so I wouldn't have to go in there and deal with him.
