Happy First Day of Autumn!

I thought I remembered, that back some time you asked if someone was "wiccan", So when I saw this article, I thought it would be fun to look into what the time of Autumn mean's to others.

They awoke to the sound of thunder and pouring rain pelting against the stained glass windows. "Hurry along Miss if you still want the water to be hot." Night Star slowly opened her heavy lidded eyes, yawned and stretched like a cat. "Wait, who are you?" asked Night. She looked curiously at the rotund raven haired woman who was carefully draping clean clothing at the foot of the bed. "I am Veeta, the housekeeper. Well, one of them anyway."

She lay out clean clothes for the Pixie next. "So you worked for the dark elves?" asked Pixie. "Why would you do that? Did they enchant you, make you their slave? Surely you didn't choose to work for them!" "By choice, yes, but only to watch them and learn and report back to Tobias all that I learned. It was how we learned of their involvement with the Witch Queen's war and were able to infiltrate some of their armies. Plus the sentient trees and their root system of communication helped. Do not fear. The dark elves have all gone now and you are safe here."

Night scooped some of the steaming water from the tub and put it into a teacup for Pesky. She handed her a sliver of the rose scented soap. "Let's get cleaned up and join Tobias and the others for breakfast. I'm sure we will learn more and you can bombard him with all the questions you'd like, just try to be polite, come up for air once in a while and give the poor man a chance to answer." They washed their hair with a delightful orange scented shampoo made of various flowers, fruits and herbs and sank deep into the soothing waters.

Lightening flashed across dark skies like angry eyes as Night slipped into black leggings, tucking them into leather boots. Her blouse was a fine workmanship of purple silk and black lace. The Summer faded quickly making way for her Sister Autumn. Some of the trees had transformed from their rich Summer greens into more vibrant colors of red, yellow and orange. As the wind raged on, some of the leaves blew off the branches landing on the forest floor. Inside, fires burned in fireplaces about the castle and candelabras and sconces held flickering candles burning bright keeping the dark at bay.

Thank you Kat! Yes, interesting link. One of our old school friends has a wife who is Wiccan. I have met others in those witchy shops where I buy natural products, herbal teas, crystals and maybe a little Angel or faery sculpture or dragon.

Hugo the winged wildcat and Wolf the wolf were up at dawn and had their baths in nature washed by the falling crystal rains. The elements rarely bothered them. Hugo was disappointed that he couldn't fly, but he ran alongside Wolf, happy and free from the confines of buildings. They killed their own meals giving thanks to the souls of the precious lives they took for sustenance and after a time, they entered the great hall awaiting the arrival of Tobias and their friends.

Jojopo the goblin and Garren the forest boy were the first to arrive after the animals. Soon Night and Pesky entered the dining hall and close behind them was Tobias from the Brotherhood of The Light Bearers. Veeta and other women brought out trays of meat, cheese, bread and a large delectable cake with candles. Tobias greeted them all heartily, turned to Garren and wished him a very Happy Life day. Garren was stunned. No one was ever sure of his exact date of birth. "How do you know it is my Life Day? The burly man chuckled. "It is about time someone tell you now isn't it? And ...my King, it is about time you take your proper place in the Kingdom. Welcome home!"

The companions looked from one to another in confusion. Of course it was Pesky who was the first to speak. "WHAT? Are you trying to tell us that this mere forest boy is a King? He is just a boy! How do you know him or anything about him when he doesn't even know anything himself?" All eyes turned to Tobias. Garren just sat with his mouth hanging wide open. "Sadly, your parents were killed by the dark elves many years ago and took over the castle, THIS castle. It was the forest guardians who whisked you away as an infant and raised you. They taught you to commune with the animals and taught you skills with weaponry among other things. You are the only heir to the throne and 15 is the perfect age for you to learn to rule a Kingdom. It will take time of course and you will have advisors. I know it is a lot to take in right now and you must be overwhelmed. Please, have something to eat and we can discuss more later."

Thanks Sweetie! Kaelci and I post in our ongoing stories the most. We both get writers block once in a while though. Other writers will throw an entry up now and then. I figured with so many of us feeling down or going through crap, it might be nice to add to my story to maybe help get people's minds off of things for a bit.

Thanks Honey! I hope I don't wait another twenty pages or more before making another entry. Night Star the Elf has travelled far and wide and had many adventures through the pages of the shedlands.


Others can be creative as well, even newbies and lurkers who have hidden in the shadows. You can make another entry yourself if you'd like.

You've endured many adventures here, and i can't wait to read more.

I've thought about making an entry for the writing contest thingy but i'm not sure where to begin with that, i began a story but it's unfinished. I'd have to add to it if i were to submit it. I've never submitted anything, and that's including when i began with this place in 2004. I dont think they had a writing forum like this back then.

My story would probably be dark-ish however, i had an upbringing that brought that out in me, somewhat, induced by the music of that time. It's all in fun though. I tend to see things in the dark and pull them out creating structure from that which once had none. I dunno it's interesting to me, on many levels.

I'm wondering if you're the lost siSTAR from the 7 Sistar star system, i know of 3 other friends of mine from 12 yrs ago one was highly psychic more so than even me. She said, we were connected to the Arcturians. That makes four of us i would bet you'd be the 5th lost siSTAR, lol. If you believe in that stuff... I do more so after the dreams i've had about crystalline cities and other such things in the past 10 yrs or so. Wonders never cease!!!

I went from Elf to alien? I suppose either one is better than being human. Too many things can go wrong in these human bodies. Ask mine. LOL

A10, you needs ta enter. You gots good stuff out there, and still have a week left to put in an entry. I'd say you would also have a pretty good chance as well. I think Augustus has the top slot pretty much locked up (and well deserved), but everything else is up for grabs. Heck, I think mine is in 3rd right now . . . but then again theres still two weeks of voting so . . . ya never know. Or, you could always just enter in order to enter.
