...How do all of you guys get such cool avatar background images? I tried to make one once using GIMP. I was going for a shepherd silhouetted against an alien sky with planets & stars. All I managed to create was one planet. It took me HOURS.

Apparently graphics are not my forte...!

Would something like this do Shep?

Thats for sure.
I also notice that when my nerve is really flared up, I will get a burning pain in my neck.
That I think is attributed to something with the nerves

Yes, I've noticed similar connections at times. For example, I can get pretty bad headaches. What's interesting is occasionally the headaches can be relieved by massaging pressure points on my back. Also, other injuries seem to exacerbate the problems - I've noticed that headaches sometimes seem to be associated to the torn pectoral I suffered a while back. Reminds me of acupuncture/acupressure and how there are points in the body which can affect other parts of the body that are seemingly unrelated.

Fasinating stuff!

Good afternoon shed, I have been away for a few months so thought I would check in and ask what I might have missed!

Welcome back Mr. NS! Let's see, so far you've missed...everything. That's ok, there will be plenty more things to come along.
It's a lovely Autumn day out there and the faeries and pixies are out playing in the yard trying to hitch rides on the cats and other small animals. Hope you have been well! Good to see you! Hugs!

Good afternoon Sheddites!!!

I'm out enjoying a nice and wonderful afternoon trackside at tthe moment. Nothing like waiting on a train and listening to some great music.

I find some of the most obscure stuff to listen to......

Mac, sounds like nerve damage issues. Shep, I have nerve damage in my legs. I always have the numbness, but sometimes I'll get this horrible shooting pain and burning where it feels like I have been seared with a branding iron. I am on meds that help that.

Wis, it was Skid and I who first noticed twilight zone things happening in the sheds. Hasn't happened to us in some time now. LOL

Hello to everyone who has posted above me and whoever is lurking!

My stuff is not that severe except for once every couple years during a bad flareup. I'm lucky - when the disc damage (all of them) was diagnosed, the neurologist said "I'm shocked you're not in more pain than you are."

Staying active & in shape helps, but it takes a lot of effort & time.

Hiya Lorri!!!

Just trying to get some video before the week is out. Don't really have much on the docket for this weekend. Can't say the same for next weekend though. I can't really say that Faall has got here yet. I mean the leaves haven't really changed here.

I am glad that you don't suffer that much. That is a blessing! I also have spinal stenosis and other back issues, so I'm all screwed up. LOL! Once upon a time I was young, healthy and vibrant, then I woke up one day and realized I was 58 and all screwed up. Like...when the hell did that happen?

Some leaves have begun to change into their glorious Autumn colors here. This weekend I will be going to our annual Autumnfest with crafts, food, shows etc. I haven't been in years and am so looking forward to this!

Looks great on longer posts.... am not sure why it's clipping the bottom off on shorter ones!!!!
hmmmm.... strange!

Ohh - hang on.... did you set it as your mini-profile background? or avatar?

That size only works as mini-profile background, and you should add an invisible avatar!!!
I'll see if I've got one handy.... 2 secs!

Hello PrairieShephard

I have wanted "properly" to say hello, but I have been stressed for time and couldn't find a picture I liked before now.

So HELLO it is lovely to see a new face in the Shed.
I chose a Hungarian Shepherd from the Puszta because I am part Hungarian. It is "Prairie" too.
Just hello and welcome.
