The term is willful ignorance.

Gryph is a very intelligent poster among many others here. I can't wait for these elections to be over.

All you posted was evidence of the bieased media SPECULATING and trying to portray Trump as negatively as possible.

None of those sources show any evidence that Trump's immigration stance ever shifted in any significant way.

You seem relatively intelligent But are either purposefully deluding yourself or just trying to delude others.

You're denying the obvious in your zeal to defend your hero.

I've linked several sources that clearly demonstrated Trump's shift.

Now he's trying to shift back.

The evidence clearly demonstrates that he floated the idea of trying to move more to "the middle" on immigration, and it backfired on him, because, now, no one (except for true believers) trusts anything he says.

Further, on a personal note, your estimation of my intellect is not the topic. Kindly spare me such meaningless drivel if you want to communicate on the topic.

All you're doing is denying the obvious facts, shown here repeatedly, that Trump did shift, now he's shifting back.

It's what the buffoon regularly does on every topic.

So now you're going to talk around me instead of to me?

Bravo.

So the end of Trumps dance jumping back and forth on the illegals issue has ended and he has returned to the hard line. With Trumps problem in Red states and likely internal polling was done to see if a softer stance was going to sway anybody and showed it would not. The problem was it came to late. Sudden shifts in your platform when you are up is one thing, doing when your down makes it hard for anybody see it beyond political pandering. The fact that Trump even had to campaign in Arizona and his VP in Georgia wasting time and money made this the likely out come of a week of flip flopping. With no movement from the middle Trump has to shore up the base.

Precisely.

You may be giving Trump too much credit though. He seems to go with whatever he's thinking at the time. I'm not sure that there's any strategy beyond that.

Somewhere in there, beyond the cartoonish caricature of his former self that he's become, there's someone that knows that this tripe he's been spewing is unreasonable and irrational.

He seems to be losing track of which role he's playing.

Words don't mean what they mean anymore. Trump on recorded media STATING that his policy (such as it was) is changing only means that he was lying (for some reason) to achieve some unknown something in the reaction.

Words can mean something if they are put into proper combinations. Would you care to clarify this?

Clarify? Nope. My comment is exceedingly clear both in literal meaning and intent.

I don't waste time with true believers and evangelists.

That doesn't appear to be the case. Your comment was unclear, and here you are wasting time.

So, having just finished watching and listening to the speech, I take away from it that he's going to build the biggest most high-tech badass wall known to mankind and Mexico will pay.

If you ain't an American citizen you will be deported back from whence you came - post haste. Criminal illegals will be fair-game for L.E agencies (who know who the criminals are) to round-up for deportation. Deportation taskforce to be set up, triple the manpower.

Economic woes related to illegal immigration will cease. Rewrite the immigration policy to place American citizens and their continuing welfare as the principle to be protected. The only way to become a citizen is through legal means. Military is going to be beefed up.

Within the hour of taking office, action will be taken to implement these policies.

So, he seems to have maintained his original stance on illegal immigration and somewhat expanded on aspects of it. I'm now going to read this thread and see what wonderful contributions have been made to what I'm sure will be an exciting read. I'll then head over to see what Hillary.com has to say about it all.

The only waste of time here is denying the obvious.

The obvious what? I couldn't quite understand your point, is what I'm saying. I can only guess that your argument was that Trump is "flip-flopping" to use the buzzword, even though his positions are exactly the same.

You don't have to guess, my claim is clear.

His positions are exactly the same after today, when he went back to the same nonsense he's been spouting for months.

In the meantime, he tried to move to the middle, as has been shown here repeatedly, and that failed miserably.

If you disagree with that blindingly obvious fact, substantiated here repeatedly from sources liberal, moderate and conservative ... then you disagree. We'll leave it at that.
