Hopefully you should be able to get the links working now. I started with HTML which is somewhat different to the BBcodes used here, and at the beginning I occasionally used the wrong code. You needn't worry though, people here are very helpful.

I can only assume, that when posting the other night, I copied and pasted text from a webpage, because I did not know how to post a link. So I must have gotten a slap on the hand for doing so.
