If you're not trolling and are sincerely interested in sharing your experiences, great! ...For example, in your thread about the angel, you could have taken the time to find out how to post the picture (members here are really nice - if you ask how to do such things, they are happy to explain)

Also, you need to make sure that you check in on your threads whenever people reply, so you can answer any questions they may have - someone posted a question in your 'angel' thread which I would have liked to see the answer to..

As a few people have pointed out here - ATS is a 'discussion' site, not a place to just dump stories without sufficient background or follow-up...

I am sorry that people hurt your feelings - but I do hope you'll stay and learn from what members are saying instead of running off offended..

I just read some of your threads. I liked them. I don't think therte is a problem, unless a mod has told you so, with a bunch of threads in one day.
You shouldn;t let peple make you feel bad.

I didn't read any of the OP's threads. Didn't even notice them. So I'm not sure if his GBCW post is an overreaction or not.

But if does pose as a reminder to us all. If you put something out there, don't assume the most vocal reaction is representative of the general reaction. And don't assume your message will reach its intended audience immediately.

This is especially true in the online world. But it's also true if you publish a book, produce a movie, release an album ... or anything of this ilk.

Personally, we all need to remind ourselves that computers have off switches. Even your phones have 'em. Sometimes it's best to hit those switches and spend some time in the real world. Walk around the block. Go get a cup of coffee. Hang with some friends. Whatever.

After doing such things, you usually find that the online fracas no longer looks that big or important.

Honestly, I think part of the problem may have been timing. There was another poster, that actually was creating threads with a bad bad link.
So some people may have thought you were one of "those".


And it may help if you put your book sections in the short stories.


Don't leave over "Some" people.

I went back and opened up the fifteen or so threads you posted today.

Looked like the majority of responses were sincere attempts to engage you.

You had a few people commenting/complaining about how many times you posted in one day but that's to be expected on any forum.

It's unfortunate if that's making you leave.

OP, i can't remember opening one of your thread's,, but listen to what others have to say, especially if it's lots of threads in a short amount of time.

Because if you make 2-3-4 a day, how are you able to respond to posters in each thread? it could take all day.

I personally think you should stay on ATS and make more detailed thread's, that way you have less thread's but more content thus others can get back to you on detail/you have more to talk about.

Wish you luck and I'll have a look in your thread's.

Hay OP, had a look in quite a few of your thread's,, got to say, you did put decent details in them and posters did respond to them, few and far between but some engaged in it..

Now the bad news, the ones i looked in 5-6 you didn't get back to them often or at all derailing that thread to maybe one poster (with no response back from you),, think you just need to respond/engage more.

All you have to do is stop the wild binge posting and making dozens of threads in short a timeframe.

You act like it's the end of the world if you don't post compulsively and impulsively.

yes, this forum is for discussions, not for drop and dash bytes. Some forums are like that, and the original thread authors don't engage with comments. But this isn't one of those places like youtube.

You need to actually "host" your threads -- be available to discuss. Think of it like you've called a meeting and read out the agenda, and then walk out of the room. Or, more pleasantly, you sent out an invitation to a party, and then after opening the door you just leave.

i did not read your previouse thread but to be honest who cares if you offend people, imsure you was not going out of your way to upset people. you say your bit and move on. You will never keep everyone happy and not everyone isworth keeping happy.

Humans are stuppid race at most times but when people feel they are "offended " over something thats its bull. who cares, grow some and shrug of whatever offends you. , wake up and start a new day.

My opinion for what is worth.

Don`t stop posting, just stop spamming. People hate spam and I`m sure you do too. If I look at your profile, it certainly does look like spam. So one step at the time. Do a write up on your memories instead of just pasting from your book. You can include quotes from your book but add something more to it. For example, what you think it means to you now looking back at it.

I understand you don`t talk much but you should engage in a conversation once in a while. Perhaps you`ll be surprised how it turns out.

And, finally, don`t give in to haters. Don`t let them control your thoughts and emotions...and suck your energy
