This site has quite a few people on here who believe that Christianity is just the most illogical thing in the world, and they just cannot fathom how someone could believe it to be rational.

To these people I pose a Challenge. Come and show that the way you view the world is coherent. Show us the world view of those who are truly "rational".

I am not asking for you to come and show that you do not like the evidence given for Christianity. I am asking for you to come and give evidence for your own beliefs. Rejecting the evidence of Christianity is not evidence for your position. I am NOT asking you to simply state what you believe. I want you to try and convince me with logic and evidence. Each person that comes that wishes to have a conversation I will sit and listen though I am going to have many questions.

In your first comment please explain where you think a person should start when it comes to finding truth, what is ground zero for acquiring knowledge?

(prepare for the worst comments in history about this subject)

The truth is never in Jesus. If you follow the strings of parables, most of them are either new age information or its spiritual.

The way a Christian thinks is funny because they take Revelation and other prophecies as true and undeniable promises.

The way I see life is simple. The answers are within and not without. Everything you want to know in life, you already know it, just gotta find it in you. The purpose of life is to create and remodel the current life we are living in now.

This goes for politics, foreign policies, and religion. Religious fanatics keep raging the anti gay anti prolife anti everything that goes against God and his word.

Life is simple, quit trying to fight against the tide and go with the flow.

Better yet here's a challenge for the religulous.

How about you believe whatever silly BS you believe & stop trying to make everyone else believe the same nonsense.

That way we're all good.

See all the religulous have to do is mind their own damn business & stop trying to make people conform to their version of reality & their beliefs wont be challenged.

Tend to your own garden & stop mucking about in your neighbors yard.

Isn't it amazing how quickly you poison the water

What do you think of evolutionists preaching evolution, demanding that it's the truth, forcing it at people
What about atheists who decry Christians, attack and push atheism

Because, they, you are no different with your nonsense sadly, probably far worse,Mbundu atheists are now louder and militant than christians

So I don't understand what your ground zero is? Your ground zero is we should start by thinking we are all omniscient?

Why do you abandon threads to make new ones about the same things? I can only imagine that your brain erases all of the info that people offer you so you can go on believing that the impossible can happen. How about you explain why you think it is rational to believe that people can make food and wine appear out of thin air? Ressurect others and themselves from death? Walking on water?

You just abandon threads without offering any explanations for how you believe a long dead story could possibly be true. Have you seen anyone walk on water? Why would you believe a story that claims someone did.

Please offer an explanation for how you can justify believing these events are true.

Why did you even respond? Why does someone asking you to prove you have a coherent view of the world upset you so much?

Ohhh, the irony of that statement.

Nice bill maher talking points btw. OP asked a question though.

I'll answer, ground zero for acquiring truth is questioning everything, and accepting that some things can never be answered.

I do that all the time. I dedicate whole threads and openly discuss peoples criticisms with my beliefs. Way to ignore the OP and go straight to why you don't like Christianity.

I have three threads of my own and one other one that I am actively replying on right now so I don't think I have abandoned anything bud, but this is an entirely different topic.

I for one believe in finding all the info of every religion ancient to new and find a balance, I'm still trying to find the truth, been enlightened to many things so far, must be working (for me).

I don't believe or follow any set/unset religion but follow my own logical views (whatever that is), don't care for getting preached to or preach to others.

Knowledge is all things new/old and so is religion.

As said before it's within ourselves to find that path, no one can tell you what that is but looking will help you find what you're looking for,,,the Bible is only a tool not a journey to truth, the world if full of knowledge.

That's just gibberish, the fact that you fail to understand Evolutionary Theory does not render it as "untruthful".

What about atheists who decry Christians, attack and push atheism

As I said stop trying to enforce your beliefs on the rest of society & they will have no reason to "decry or attack".

You people just can't get it through your heads.

Don't like abortion, don't have one.
Tell someone else they can't have one then yea you're stepping outside your line.

Don't like gay sex, fine don't have any but keep your pointless condemnation to your self unless you see someone getting hurt.

Don't like gay marriage don't have one but don't believe that your secular business that operates under secular law is somehow about your god.

So explain how you think these extraordinary events are true? Even though we know that they are impossible?

Ok I am good with that no disagreement here.

accepting that some things can never be answered.

Also good with this. So I guess my first question would be what things, if any, can we know with 100% certainty?

If god exists(and I believe he does) why has he not come and fixed the world's problems? I would say he's late, the world has suffered enough at the hands of tyrants, if the Bible is for real then its past time for accounting.
It doesn't take bravery to understand that god gave you a brain to think with, modern religion is mind slavery admit it.
Your afraid of not being worthy and going to hell, news flash a god of love doesn't torture people for eternity for even one sin.

I honestly don't know anymore. It's a philosophical conundrum. All ideas and truths are based on some form of faith.

I am beginning to wonder if anyone actually took my OP seriously. Though this is what I predicted for this thread. It may go on for 50 pages and I'll get maybe two people who actually try and show their beliefs to be true.

Hmm not so sure about that. How are you defining truths? Are they actual truths or do you mean something thought to be true?

Can't one know of their own existence? Cogito Ergo Sum.

Yet another person who hops straight to my beliefs rather than speaking of their own. My prediction seems to have been spot on.

Why would anyone take this thread seriously when it is obviously a deflection from other peoples requests for you to explain the same thing? Which you did not do in the other thread and is the prime reason for why you abandon threads.
