They're still building those. The only one going into a storage yard is the AC-130J they over stressed testing it.

I think it is the 2 C-133A's that are at Mojave

Yep, they are. They seem to have an interesting history that I'm going to be digging into when I have time.

In New Mexico today near Kirtland. Caught some great pics of a Commando II and NAOC. Missed an L-159 though.

Yesterday Moffett was quite busy with CDF aircraft flying in to fight the Santa Cruz fire. One airframe was bit different. and all white C-130. Its not an L-100 as it has the wing tanks

however today it was not fighting fires but merely flying around

Not really sure if its an A model and I have no frame of reference because the 129th's C-130 do not shot up on Flightradar. I was driving so I could not get a picture, but the the white airframe really shows the underwing soot from the turboprops LOL

Up engined A model according to the N number in the video posted above. It uses the T56-A-7 instead of the A-1 or A-1A that the A model used.

Good to see the mighty 72 still smoking and hauling freight. Must've be a rare day trip for those IFL guys.

The different thing in the photo on the last page is the engine integrated into the vertical tail section of the one aircraft in the two photos, isn't it? What is that, Z?

In this pic? The one on the right is a DC-10, the one on the left is a 727 similar to this one from today.

Yeah I meant the one on the right, but I see the one on the left too now that you mention it.

DC-10. Fairly popular, but not the most successful. There are still a few flying cargo, but there aren't any flying passengers anymore.
