Secret Service spoke to Trump campaign about 2nd Amendment comment

This is the kind of crap that just irks me to the core.

(CNN) — A US Secret Service official confirms to CNN that the USSS has spoken to the Trump campaign regarding his Second Amendment comments.

"No such meeting or conversation ever happened," Trump tweeted in response to CNN's report.

There should be some sort of responsibility in media. I get it, Clinton News Network. Truth is this will be forgotten about in a day or two and on to the next bonehead story.

"Words matter my friends, and if you are running to be president or you are president of the United States, words can have tremendous consequences," Clinton said. "Yesterday we witnessed the latest in a long line of casual comments from Donald Trump that cross the line."

Words matter. Does intent?

The way the media is blowing this up it makes one think they are trying to distract from something the Clintons are into.

Maybe this has something to do with news coming down the wire from Assange?

Wikileaks is proving to be a very huge thorn in the side of the Clintons.

I heard the comment and to me Its just a comment about the rights of second amendment supporters as a right, that Hillary careless when she is advocating for gun control.

When it comes to the millions of Americans that own guns if t hey vote against Hillary she doesn't have a chance in this nation to become president.

Now I am sure that anti trump followers will spin this one very well.

I don't know if I highlighted in well enough in the OP but that's exactly the point I'm trying to convey.

They wrote, in their own story, that they could not confirm the Secret Service said anything and Trump tweets after the story that no one contacted him. If CNN were a poster on ATS, they would be ridiculed and everything put in LOL/Hoax bins.

MSM is a joke and millions of Americans get their news from those sources!

Shouldn't we wait until the Secret Service confirms or refutes the story? If they confirm it, it would mean that Trump told a bold faced lie. But then, what difference does it make?

The Secret Service's communications director Cathy Milhoan has not confirmed the conversations between the campaign and the Secret Service, but said in a statement Tuesday that "the U.S. Secret Service is aware of Mr. Trump's comments."

First of all, it shows his ignorance of the Constitution. A President cannot simply invalidate an amendment, as much as he is looking forward to doing so. Second, he was clearly implying that the Second Amendment was intended to allow citizens to rise up against tyranny, and that is what they must do if a President exceeded their authority. Do you disagree? The Second Amendment is not intended to allow citizens to bear arms against tyranny?

What he said though, had nothing to do with people not voting..ultimately he said this, ""But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day" We all heard him in yet another silly Faux pas. Ironically, had he added, "for her" It might have sounded more plausible, (and clever even) as regards the said rationale of people not voting for her, but the silly sod didn't do that and just crapped another brick and loaded the opposition from what ever source.

That is how I head that one too, as my husband is a very well supporter of second amendment rights, if millions of gun owner American votes against Hillary they will shot her out of the presidential run, that is what it means.

I don't recall hearing anything about invalidating any amendment of the Constitution.
If he was clearly implying anything we would not be having this discussion.
