That movie I own on disc it was originally a made for TV mini series . I am a male in my forties, I won't lie I can't watch it withoutcrying at least once..its about three very strong willed women who are navigating the tumultuous times just prior to and through the civil war.

If you or anyone is looking for a well made film portraying females as strong independent leads characters this one can't be beat. Angelina jolee and annabeth Gish are outstanding and the ending didn't disappoint either.

If I had a daughter (or son) I would definitely make it a movie night film.
