Bloody Mary Myth or Reality?

There are many reports of faries using mirrors (hence some of the legends of scrying) and cupboards as doorways to our world in various literature, I'll see if I can find some since there's another thread that I mentioned it on too.

My guess is it might be some sort of conjouration of a presence from that 'other' realm, perhaps the reason it needs to be dark, candles, etc?

I sure as hell wouldn't try it regardless of whether your best friend tried it and won the lottery afterwards, there are many things we are not meant to meddle with, doorways to the beyond are one of them.

I had a fairly decent thread going on about this about a year ago. Went into some detail about this legend.

As far a s the "bloody Mary" thing goes, I have tried it a couple of times, never seen anything.

i tried that when i was like ten and nothing happened it was midight and all of the other stuff that people said you had to have and nothing happened

I watched it for a while and when i turned it on it was just fine. So i was just playing a game andi was wonderrind what time it was and when i looked it said 7:06. Then i remembered that my computer clock was way off, but then there wasn't a clock in my room, and i was too scared to got outside my room. Twenty minutes later or so i was wonderring the time again (i always forget about how the clock on the computer is wrong) so i checked the computers clock and it still said 7:06. That had me confussed. Then i noticed that 7:06 would be the same as 6:66. I just was a little scared but then i saw my reflection and right beside my head was another face. It was a man with brown or black hair brushed to the left side of his head. His skin was very pale. He had skinny lips.


Does anyone have any clue who this gut was? Im so scared right now and i just want to know if anyone else has seen this guy. Plz answer me thank you.

just tell the man that he is a wuss. Make him angry until he expends his energy and leaves

So, about the book of the dead thing ... Has anyone ever done it ? And what happened when you did xD

Im really thinking about trying it but I'm a big scared hah.

My friend did it he had a red scratch across his face. He told me not to tell anyone and say it was his cat.

ghosts dnt appear in mirrors with blood on thier hands and make u go in a state of shock or make u bleed yourself
bloody mary is a myth just like unicorns, bigfoot and other myths
so it is a waste of time actually believing this

ive seen ghosts so im not sayin ther arent any but people just think they see "bloody mary" because all you do is trick your mind into thinking youl see somthing and your brain can believe anything if its convinced enough

Well, here's a wierd story that happened to me and friends in primary school


As soon as the theatre was fineshed, everone was crowding it. After school, me and my friends went into the theatre. It bieng completely black for some strange reason, gave it a creepy aura. Earlier on, one of my friends repeted blooy mary and candyman 3 times in the bathroom mirror whilst we where there. As we entered the theatre, the lights turned of. a white light with a hook on the end of it's hand and red eyes rose, then a shadow of a NEW girl, not one of us, there where 3 of us and 4 shadows, came. they walked around, me and my friends still, then as they left, we ran screaming like idiots. this has happened to many people, and everytime i was asked to do a job, i had to go through the theatre. everytime i walked through the theatre, i saw the shadow of the girl behind me, and the shadow of the candyman under the stage. this is still happening 3 years later. i was in yr 6 at the time. My mums friend believed the girl was the ghost of the heber tower, because she was there when the little girl hung herself, well, in the school, ut has nno idea about the candyman.

Ah yes, I believe you just had a close encounter with Bloody Mary's cousin, Scabby Jerry. Bloody Mary takes one week off a year when she vacations to Cancun, and while she's out, Jerry fills in for her. He's an alright guy, but he doesn't get out much, just spends all his time staring in the mirror and preparing for his big week. Hence the paleness.

I did the whole Bloody Mary thing once when I was younger. I didn't see any spirits, though. All I got was dizzy. When I got older, I did that OTHER Bloody Mary thing that has been mentioned in this thread (w/ tobasco, tomato, etc) and again, got dizzy.

But is it possible to find out "what your are doing", to be able to obtain this knowledge? That last bit seems like nonsense -- above you say it is impossible to control -- so obviously no amount of "knowledge" could help you if it's real.

Haha right on, I love Bloody Mary, it gets more and more fun as you get older I think. When I was younger I could totally see her each time and I would try to stay longer and longer because she was soo beautiful. One day she actually grabbed me, and surprisingly it felt awesome, it was like she was made of electricity, and she was trying to take me through the mirror but it tickled and she just faded away as I giggled at the sensation. Every time since then she would either not show up, or show up and see that it was me and look startled and quickly disappear. I get the feeling she doesnt like me for some reason, so I still try to call on her to this day. Its been like 5 years since Ive last seen her, im 25 now. If anyone has any success with getting her to show up, please tell her a person named tristan misses her.

Tried it, tried all kinds of stuff. None of it has tapped me into other channels unseen by most and none of it has put me into contact with a spirit, demon, etc. Not that I care, I only try because why not right? I’m not doing it because I believe something is there or I seek a response. It was all done in the name of harmless fun and harmless fun was all that resulted from it.

Okay, so first of all... this thing is so creepy that you're already expecting to see something. Secondly, it requires you to spin around either 3 times or 13 times, which makes you very dizzy, so again there's the chance of imagination. So yes, you do see something, but not neccesarily bloody mary... and this is confirmed by the fact that majority of people see a shadow like thing or flash or something like that.... so that's definitely their imagination. And for people who do claim to actually see, well in that case, no two descriptions of her are the same.... So what do you think???
I myself saw a white flash but don't know what it was!
