I think that she will make a perfect role model president, but he, despite all his elderly ramblings, would bring hope to the grass roots level. He gets it. She just says that she does and reflects those words well on her face. Bernie as president, regardless of how we got there? What that would mean would be anyone's guess, because I don't think that we have seen that type of connection to the people since this country began. But that's just me...

Sanders got influence over the party platform. That is almost as good as getting the White House. Why you ask? Hillary will just toss it you out you say? That belies a lack of understanding of who enacts the platform and it is not the President. Congress creates bills and votes them into law. The President just signs off or vetoes them. And you do not veto bills from your own party if you want to ask Congress to do or fund anything.

This is something Trump does not seem to understand. All those Republicans he has bashed on and that hate him, he will now have to go to get them introduce bills he wants and to fund EO he creates. And with Congress of hostile Republicans and Democrats they will be able to shut Trump down and enact any bill they want because they will outnumbers the veto. They could literally strip the power of the office away from him.

So Sanders sits in Congress and creates helps Shepard the platform he helped create and Clinton signs off on it. If you liked the platform Sanders was pushing, it has better chance now of being successful then it would with him in the White House where he can not introduce bills.

I actually believe that if Bernie did run a third party or cruz for that matter the win would go to Hillary.

I feel sorry for you all, in my view Bernie was by far the best candidate, sadly the elections were rigged.

....nuances.

Are you suggesting that Trump would be the better role model?

He has gone the way of Ron Paul. Everyone was excited, emphatic, convinced they both were the ones. And where are they both now?

Everyone was so sure of each of them...that they really were wrong. Blindsided by the truth neither would/could ever get elected.

Its seems its never about who we vote for...but who "THEY" want in.

The only thing Bernie influenced was Hillary's speechwriters. I swear, everything she said last night sounded like it came STRAIGHT from Bernies prior speeches. It was so pathetic and pandering that I don't know how anyone with any lick of a individual thought process couldn't see it for what it was.

Being part of a group, and by extension "towing" the party line is the exact opposite of what a free thinking, intelligent, rational person would do. I don't care if we are talking dems, repubs, religions, cults or any other sort of "our way" clubs.

Someone who supported bernie, and hated hillary, who is now willing to vote for hillary because it's "their" political party is, in my mind, just barely above meeting the legal definition of mentally handicapped.

So... Trump?

Trump hasn't committed election fraud, or had dead bodies tied to his name/ foundation.
So where he still isn't ideal for a role model, he is still better than a murderer.

How would you know there are no dead bodies connected to his name? Just wondering if suicides might count and if they've been counted. But there are suicides connected to Monsanto crops, or there used to be before the Internet was scrubbed. I might be alone in remembering that.

Trump would make an interesting president for sure. No body is all good or all bad.

My 100+ grandmother had an expression that troubles me to this day: "It's better to do what's wrong that looks right than what's right that looks wrong." I've spent a chunk of my life trying to prove her wrong and hope I never find out if she was right.

They all promise to do good. I think my desire is for the candidate who will do the least harm. Baby steps in a crazy world.

Trump pretty much reminds me of a good ol boy in rich mans clothing.

He says what is on his mind. Not always the best but at least he is being open and honest.

I would like to hear HOW he is going to bring back Jobs. The dems, Reps and Unions have for 40 years removed our factories overseas not only through trade agreements, but through extremely tough, sometimes over-reaching EPA regulations, and by the artificial hikes in oil and other commodities forcing the people to want higher wages which led to Unions calling for more and more benefits and higher wages because of raising prices.

It was the banks and the Elite who control them that kept artificially raising prices on oil and other commodities and their ultimate goal even then was to bring all the nations into a lower wage high educated unemployed which only leads to shorter stints of employment at a low wage with no benefits.

I have seen this personally in foreign lands where they have high populations and very few jobs for their people. So people older than 30 people wont be hired unless they have family to get them in. For most of the jobs the younger ones from 18-27 they are hired on a contract basis, simply means no benefits and no guarantee of employment after 6 months, unless they are are extremely good and willing to work for nothing.

The factories and businesses have no problem getting new recruits as the ever present supply of new graduates and population growth keeps them in a great supply of young workers they can exploit.

Except the banker elite class lower their artificial prices index we will never see jobs come back to the US. If that happens they we don't need super high wages and we can produce items that will sell at reasonable prices. And we can still save money for retirement and purchases like cars and homes.

We must be energy sufficient and not rely on foreign oil as the main stay of our fuel. Renewable resources like trees need to be planted regularly. New ways to purify water or generate it from the atmosphere need to be produced. Everyone needs to get off of the keeping up with the Kardasians and the TV celebrities as this is a false sense of being and purpose being perpetrated on society by the elite to control the masses.

Each country should be self sufficient in the items it needs and what a country cannot produce then trade agreements are made to assure they have what they need and we have what we need. Today's trades agreements only allow for abuse and manipulation of one nation over another. i.e. artificial Saudi and ME oil prices to western nations, China with cheap defective and poisonous goods being shipped all over the world with no accountability.

this is the basics of which we must get back too.
