Yesterday it was announced the Bernie Sanders left the Democratic party.

Now a flurry of comments from some is that Bernie is planning on running as a third party.

However, I can't find any source for it.

Does anyone know if this is true or just hogwash?

That would be interesting as hell if true.

Bernie making a third part run could make the election fun again!

Why would he endorse Pant Suit this week and then decide to run Third Party?

He wasn't a democrat to begin with, same as Ron Paul wasn't a Republican and neither was Ronald Regan... people sometimes have to join a party or switch parties based on the ability to be elected or if the ideology has slid from what they agree with.

But 3rd party? When many states will not even put a 3rd on the ballot...

We in the U.S. are held hostage by the electoral college and the party conventions already in place, the Democrats and Republicans hold a monopoly on the U.S. elections via the electoral process.

Here's how it works...

Sounds like a classic case of some old fashion Clinton coercion. That or he was paid some big bucks.

Something is REALLY fishy with his 180 degree endorsement. He HATES Clinton. The right is eating it up like candy too.

The fact that he left the party this fast suggests something is a miss.

Bernie Sanders Leaving Democratic Party Soon: www.zerohedge.com...

There are registration items and deadlines to be on ballots in all 50 states. Bernie's devout army of followers could help him achieve a lot of success in this area, if he decided to run.

But then again, he knows that he'd be handing the election to Trump.

Come to think of it, Bernie was looking at Hillary as if he, in actuality, despises her.

Well, he should be the nominee but the DNC buddy buddy system took him out from the inside and the outside.

He said he was voting for Clinton because he didn't want Trump elected but didn't want to endorse her... When he was running it was solidarity, he didn't want to say hey I'm endorsing Hilliary with my vote but that the way I am voting... until completely pressured to say well the votes have to go somewhere that counts and I suppose the lesser of two evils in his mind became her over Trump.

Simple as that.

Welcome to America

I believe this rumor was started due to him returning to his 'Independent' voting status. He has always been a Independent Senator. While running for President, he switched his 'I' to 'D'. I can only assume he is just accepting defeat and getting back to being an Independent Senator instead of a candidate for President.

My unsolicited opinion is that you could see it on his face whenever the camera was on him. He was not comfortable with what was happening and it has nothing to do with Ego. Internally, I was thinking, "Whatever it is you're thinking about -- go for it!"

I'm thinking that it isn't wise to jump off of a speeding train, but if it slows down at a crossing, then grab the opportunity, even if you don't know where to go with it next.

I'd be all for Clinton if it weren't for her views on GMO's and her ties to Monsanto. For me, hypocrisy is hypocrisy, and an atom is as much as a pound. The fact that Trump has tons of it sort of sways me in her direction, but with a frown.

I think that she will make a perfect role model president, but he, despite all his elderly ramblings, would bring hope to the grass roots level. He gets it. She just says that she does and reflects those words well on her face. Bernie as president, regardless of how we got there? What that would mean would be anyone's guess, because I don't think that we have seen that type of connection to the people since this country began. But that's just me...

He looked so uncomfortable when she mentioned him in her speech - he kept looking to the right as if there was someone standing there right out of frame slowly punching his fist and mouthing "Smile"

I doubt it's true but he did look like he was eating a # ton of sour grapes last night. Can't blame him after all the DNC drama/corruption revealed last week.

Bernie.

He has been put into his place by the establishment that conspired to have Hillary anointed.

He will not run independent.

a reply to: ChesterJohnI'm sensing that Bernie gave up the nomination, too soon, and it was planned from the get go.

Bernie builds the army, and hands it over to Hillary? Then goes back to business as usual? He betrayed his army and he is going to run as a independent? Don't see it happening....

The Green party asked him to be their candidate but after seeing how all the ballot business went during primaries with delegates etc. I seriously doubt he has the heart to attempt yet another fiasco of the same sort right now.

I'm sure he'll get back to the senate and work for the reforms we desperately need, and if Hillary keeps her pander honest she will ask him policy advice in moving the US in the way of much needed reform towards equality and opportunity if she is elected. Hopefully so... who knows.

I know Obama took a ton of notice, and respects Bernies suggestions in some of the moves he has made like moving some of the health care option into the Medicare side of things for afford ability, the only reason that was a fiasco was as soon as it was announced insurance companies started lobbying elected officials hard to try to get a monopoly going in many states to rig the game in their favor and it worked too... that's why Obama care, really Romney care because he did the same thing in his state and planed to do the same thing if he was elected... likely would have ended the same way with all the corrupt corporate influence to rig the game but hey that's the power they hold in voice more than we the people do.

Thats why it needs reform not lets keep blowing up and hating people we don't like to keep cashing in all hell in a hand basket towards some self fulfilling Armageddon nonsense... it's not actually a prophesy when theres an agenda to make it happen, and cash in and sell out as much as possible while doing it. Because hey it wont effect me I'm rich from all the suckers... and can leave here any time I want thanks to my hidden off shore accounts from all the R.I.C.O. on both sides of the law... if it sounds screwed up it is and thats why we need the reform and not the pander that allows people to keep at it and hiding the truth and reality of the situation.

People first... not those made that by legislation either. Actual living breathing people not a corporate entity wanting to use corrupt terminology to become a person so that makes all the scamming legal. It's sick and it's wrong.

Somethings up for sure, he really looked weird last night speaking at the DNC.

I had the TV on in the background(no cable, OTA, only get one channel and it was on the speech), I heard him addressing all his usual points. Free this, free that, 1% this and that, make wall street pay their far share, make the 1% pay for all this and that. But his voice sounded horrible and shrill, and when I looked at the screen he looked like absolute crap.
