What does everyone think the reason(s) is/are for Area 51? Is it anything at all?

Personally, I feel that it is a place that the government can use to test aircraft without having to worry about too many prying eyes. I also think that they use it to recieve the aliens that are taken to other facilities such as LANL or Dulce. Just my two cents worth...

Now so far, there has been no conclusive evidence, however, I'd certainly like to get some people together who could maybe help me look over some of the things that I've found, and some of the things that are allready known...please email: [email protected] if your interested!

There are dozens of threads about how Area 51 is an aircraft test facility. Try a search...you'll come up with tons of good threads on the subject.

i can ashure you of one thing, it has nothing to do with aliens, and i want to hear why it is that you think that,i know it's "the place where they took the aliens from rosewll" well. . . there is a good arguement that it is but i think it's not, also what is the like between testing aircraft and receving aliens, those are too totally differnt things, if there was an alien receving base it's not any where neer Dreamland. . . and don't say S4. lol

We can't provide solid proof that there extra-terrestrials there anymore than you can prove that there aren't. A lot of it is a matter of what you want to believe--there are facts that support both sides of the argument. The people who would know best are the people who live near the base and see what they test there. The people in Rachel are pretty set on their UFOs, and they've been seeing them for decades. I'd take their word for it, they know a lot more about it than I do--they go through it every day. I think the main reason people believe there are aliens there are because of the things they've seen flying in the sky over the base. There are people who have served in the Air Force and people who excel in physics who have seen aircraft flying over the base in ways such that they can't explain--like no craft we are capable of making with the technology that we have. After the Roswell incident we had a sudden "boom" of technology in the aircraft field. This leads people to believe that aliens are helping us with our craft.

I think that Are 51 is simply, flat out, their top secret place.

Though aircraft testing is probably a priority, it being where the U2, Blackbird, Aurora, etc. were developed, I'm certain that the facility goes deep underground and expands horizontally. They probably do all of their "top secret" and "black" projects there...anything from cloning, genetics experiments, mind control like in the CIA Project MKULTRA, UFO and alien research, whatever.

Groom Lake is a Top Secret research facility! They have intelligence activities there, but most of it is research.

We are told that it's a Top Secret Research Facility.

Nobody can doubt the "top secret" part.

It's the second part that opens the speculation.

Yeah ok but there are no aliens there, it's all airplanes and stuff like that, if you want take some IR photos of the base and see if there is anything underground, some heat will show up if you do that, but i can ahsure you that there is nothing underground there

I think its just an R&D facilitie, for aircraft and new science.

I heard that Area 51 has a bunch of stolen foreign jets as well like Russian Migs and Chinese versions aswell. But I doubt they have aliens their....come on this isn't a space port.

My guess is it's just a base to make and test aircraft prototypes and use captured enemy RADAR for stealth testing.

no base would have so much security just for testing new aircraft. open your minds and see the truth. they are either experimenting with new technology (probably dangerous) or experimenting with things that don't exist on this world.

No sh*t! This place is too secretive to just be a place for new air craft design. I'm not saying aliens or their space craft are there or have ever been there, but let me put it to you like this.... anything is possible with so much secrecy and the amount of money this government spends each year on the "black-budget"

Has anyone here worked on aircraft research -- either for the government or for a major aerospace contractor? Second-tier contractor?

Does anyone here have or used to have a clearance, DoD SECRET or better?

the base is for new aircraft, there are a bunch of MIG's and what not there too, they probably are expermenting with new and dangerous teah. they also do that whole chemical burning thing too, but there are no aliens there. "they have things 50 years ahead of anyone in the Nevada desert", that's a quote from a person who worked there, there is no doubt that they are expermenting with things there, but it's of this world, and it's not alien

Why would you say that a facility that tests cutting-edge airplanes doesnt need that much security???? Of course any facility like that is going to have maximum security. THey dont want anyone seeing these planes until abuot 30 years after. Area 51 is a plain and simple, research/ flight testing facility. And does anyone know what UFO stands for???? It's UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT with no correlation to ALiens from other planets whatsoever, you all need to realize that they have cool stuff there and we did it BY OURSELVES!

There is ample proof and evidance that Aircaft testing is done there. both classified prototypes, and foreign fighters Declassified info points to a lot of High altitude experiments were launched there in the 50s. as welll as the early X plane progect.

Also the declassified info points out that it is more the likely that the Aliens thing was just a hoax started by one person

Top Secret means that you need a Top Secret pass to get in. The workers are just highly skilled engineers from Lockheed, stop bothering them!

No aliens in Area 51! It is Lockheed's test area! Leave it alone! Why can't you people understand that?

Lockheed builds aircraft, Area 51 is owned by Lockheed, Area 51 has a lot of new plane being tested there. They don't want their data stolen, so they build their buildings on government/military soil, does that stop people from going there? No! They also hire EG&G personal for protection, does that stop people, a little. Lockheed had plans stolen from them by Boeing once, now they increased security and gave their workers an 'oath.' Now stop trying to make us break that oath!
