Nobody has wanted Hillary. Nobody. Bernie is where the momentum was. Media on Left and Right all talked up Hillary vs Trump... but nobody on either side wants Hillary. They should have followed the momentum. Bernie.

it`s feels kind of wrong to be watching this, it`s like watching your neighbors backyard family reunion turn into a brawl,but at the same time you just don`t want to look away. This looks really bad for the democrats.

So far both conventions look like a joke though. They seem more like a pop concert or carnival to me than anything even remotely connected to serious politics and decision making.

They've always been like this. I mentioned it to my pops one time and he told me back in the day some of the conventions were even more bombastic and ridiculous than they are now.

Well, those over here are rather boring in comparsion with no cheering or such and people giving speeches for or against a topic followed by the delegates voting on the topic, rinse and repeat all day long.

Because people can't seem to work together on those issues. That is just as much the responsibility of the Republicans, as it is the Democrats.

To those complaining that there aren't enough resident lefties here - I'd say this board has plenty of lefties to more than hold it's own. That there aren't many getting really involved is a bad sign and it reflects what I'm seeing you all talk about that is happening on the floor of the convention.

Some of us have to work and are typing this when they probably shouldn't be

RNC is taking notes right now. If they could have a spectacle this magnificent featuring Jeb!, they would. It's about control, not about what anyone who votes wants.

But what the DNC needed to do was be honest. They should have known that Hillary was a non-starter, but she is owed and has power, so they'll do their damnedest to carry her hated butt over the line against the wishes of their own party and just about everyone else too.

People are dumd enough that it just might work too.
