Your accusations are opinions, that you've asserted more than once. They aren't facts. We get it. You think Hillary Clinton is a liar.

No, it's an established fact that Hillary is a serial liar.

Who cares about Trump's lies and empty promises, or lying Ted Cruz, and all the other lying Republicans that broke their "word" and refused to support the GOP candidate because they just can't stomach the thought?

But this thread isn't about Trump's lies and empty promises,

It's *supposed* to be, yes. That's why I'm focusing on Hillary and how unfit she is to be anywhere near the Oval Office.

it's about the Democratic National Conventions, and Hillary Clinton as the party's nominee.

Hillary made a very wise choice in choosing Tim Kaine, as her running mate, don't you think?

An old white guy lawyer. Yeah. I think the best comment I've seen so far is 'Kaine and Unable'

Serial liar? See when you embellish with hyperbole you just look weak.

An old white guy lawyer

He's only 58, and he's more that a lawyer, he's a committed serial public servant!

Unable to do what?

And now it looks like the Chair of the DNC will not be "speaking" at the Convention !!

What a joke.

DNC chair won't speak at Dem convention following Wikileaks fallout

The head of the Democratic National Committee will not speak at the party's convention next week, a decision reached by party officials Saturday after emails surfaced that raised questions about the committee's impartiality during the Democratic primary.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, whose stewardship of the DNC has been under fire through most of the presidential primary process, will not have a major speaking role in an effort "to keep the peace" in the party, a Democrat familiar with the decision said. The revelation comes following the release of nearly 20,000 emails.

One email appears to show DNC staffers asking how they can reference Bernie Sanders' faith to weaken him in the eyes of Southern voters. Another seems to depict an attorney advising the committee on how to defend Hillary Clinton against an accusation by the Sanders campaign of not living up to a joint fundraising agreement.

Such unity. The left is a beacon, a model institution, and an inspiration to criminal organizations.

We're Stronger Together!

We are stronger together. Seems silly to deny that

If you're confused about this, I suggest you see Star Trek Beyond neo. It explains it in a way even a child could understand

Why do you think this country is in the mess its in right now? Because we're all pulling together?

Do the conservatives believe otherwise?

After Hope and Change followed up with some Forward going Yes We Can

I think that might have worked if it weren't for the more base parts of human nature - and a complete unwillingness to reach across the aisle for the sake of our country

I already got the cliff notes and YES it was explained in a way even a CHILD could understand it.

To wit.

“We’re in a time now where identity is under attack,” Spiner said. “It’s disturbing.”

“Individuality should be celebrated.

deadline.com...

I honestly could care less what COLLECTIVISTS have to say.

Where NO person is seen an an INDIVIDUAL, and when one dares show their uniqueness to the collective.

The get called uncle toms, token whatevers.

So please get off that so called high horse and try to denigrate others that don't buy what the DNC is selling.

ADULTS know their are full of snip.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's been a long time since you guys had a president who actually cared for people...

If you're up for it - I would love an explanation of what that means

How does Putin care for his people in a way that leaders in the USA don't?

Oh, there will be plenty of fear mongering at the DNC. It will be :

Trumps going to destroy the world
Trumps going to kill grandma by taking her social security
Trumps going to kill blacks
Trumps going to kill gays
blah blah blah

That is what I hope the DNC does not do. They need to show the viewers that they are different than the GOP and will not use scare mongering and fear tactics to propel their platform.

The proposed superdelegate rules changes (+several variants/amendments) have enough support for a floor vote, BTW.

Feels like anything might be possible this year :-)

I don't think anyone will be surprised by no surprises. For better or worse - It's going to be Hillary. But I am up for the drama - because that's what this whole thing is about

I know it's accepted thinking now that the whole system is corrupt - that it's all manipulated. I think that's always been true - and that's not resignation, rationalization or cynicism. Money, power brokering, lobbying - threats...history

Bernie did something important and amazing. He did more during his campaign to force change into the system than most presidents accomplish during their one or two terms

Bernard would have been as hamstrung as Obama has been for 8 years as president. I don't believe a president is magic

I would buy all of your BS if you could give me a clear and intelligent example of how Trump celebrates the individual

What does it mean to be an individual in an system that's supposed to work for all of us

I love that whole bloated, overworked argument - rugged individualism. This country happened as the result of people working together - for each other

this is no longer about us and them neo. We need to find some common ground

The only BS in this thread is the regurgitated 'platform' from the current administration.

There is NOTHING new in it.

Same old FAILED ideology.

What does it mean to be an individual in an system that's supposed to work for all of us

It means what people have done for centuries before the creation of 'systems'.

Adapt to their environment becoming better than they use to do.

Ya know ALOT like that thing called EVOLUTION.

Funny says the purveyor of 'so easy a child could understand'.

Yeah it is.

The DNC represents EVERYTHING that is WRONG on Capital Hill.

Pandering to the id.

We've always worked together. Even as individuals - we evolved together in communities - large or small

So, I'm still waiting. How do we have a system where we are just individuals - as opposed to individuals that are part of a larger community?

Funny says the purveyor of 'so easy a child could understand'.

Are you so easily offended neo? Perhaps if you had a thicker skin you might see that I'm right. It's not a complicated idea. I saw that movie yesterday, and I was reminded (I'm quite sure it wasn't accidental) that you can be an individual - that works well with others

It benefits both the individual and the group

Star Trek is nothing more than civil rights in space. Always was - still is. When I was watching that movie yesterday I had to smile at the relevance of it all

:-)

Funny I always busted by snip working a snip load of hours to put a roof over my head, and food on the table.

The 'community' ain't done jack squat.

Take a page from Chronicles of Riddick. You Keep what you EARN.

Are you so easily offended neo?

No I don't support the DNC.

Star Trek is nothing more than civil rights in space.

Star Trek was American politics in the flesh.

Communist BORG.

Federation: Globalist socialist NEOCONS.

Ferengi were : Capitalist's.

Endless war, and a bunch of free stuff.

Where all the 'cool' kids joined a military organization to get far away from Earth as possible.

There are lessons to be learned.

Definitely.

Gotta say - that post explains a lot

So, I'm just going to have to go full Polyanna I guess. The system both works - and doesn't work. This is a given

It's still a gift - even with all it's flaws. What we should be worried about is not so much how imperfect it is, but how easily we might lose the ability to fight over it - and to tweak it

Right now that is becoming a very real possibility

You want a smaller government - but it's still government. It's still people. Not a person - but people. It's inescapable

There's an element of denial and even make believe in your outlook on life

Well if you really want to fix the 'system'.

Fix the people first.

Washington DC is a reflection of 'we the people'.

And it sure isn't a damn pretty sight to behold.

There is no need for me to watch the DNC.

Why do I need to watch Hillary Clinton promote her policies for the future when I can see very plainly with my own eyes the failures of her policies of the past.

No thank you, I will pass.

Did you actually watch the convention, in full, or are you parroting what the MSM told you?

I watched most of what was on TV, plus watching online some of what I missed - then have been doing quite a bit of reading. I know you're not parroting what your crew is telling you - because you are a free an objective thinker

Maybe you should allow for the possibility that people who disagree with you aren't stupid

It was not fear mongering, it encouraged patriotism and hope. It was a very positive experience.

What purpose does it serve to encourage patriotism? How does one go about doing that?
