There are a lot of very jealous women out there. Melanie is the type of strong woman that a lot of women love to criticize. Why? Because she is beautiful and elegant on top of everything else.

Oh...no you didn't

This is exactly what it looks like

Time for the Melania girls to man up

It's still stupid. But, we're not talking about Hillary, or the other speeches, are we? Keep the focus off the speeches about Hillary's failures and Obama's blunders

But the Trump campaign did this. They jacked their own narrative, shot themselves in the foot and now they are bleeding out as we type because they still haven't dealt with the issue.

If you want to be exasperated, direct it at the Trump campaign.

Let me ask, do you think Melania remembered the words of Michelle's speech and purposely used them, or asked someone to get Michelle's speech so she could copy it

I don't! I don't blame Melania at all. In fact, she's smart enough not to do such a stupid thing!

No, the buck stops at Mr, Trump's feet. He hired the speechwriters. He runs the incompetent campaign that led to this.

I really feel bad for her.

I don't think that's really fair. Character assassination. She didn't sign up for this. She didn't write the speech.

She claims to have written the speech. She did so in a pre-speech interview with Matt Lauer. I don't see how exposing the lies about her education is unfair. And yes, she willingly signed up for this, asking the nation for a First Lady position. The heat is only going to get hotter.

Melania said she wrote the speech.

"I read it once over, and that's all because I wrote it with as little help as possible,'' she told TODAY's Matt Lauer in an exclusive interview on Monday.

one source

The interview was played on tv soon after the speech. Saw it last night. It's also on their website.

Have you actually seen/looked the side-by-side text and video comparisons in this thread and elsewhere?

Seems not.

Yep, just another insult to the working women of America. This won't bode well for the Trump Election.

What? I know so many working women that plan on voting Trump. They see all these attacks on Melania and Donald for what they are....media hype by the left msm to discredit them and keep the conversation off Hillary and the corruption that is in Washington.

I would imagine people like Rosie or Whoopi can't stand her for no other reason other than she was a super model and her success came by a different route than most of us took.

People voting for issues are disgusted by the left-wing's constant silliness and deflection.

Maybe Michelle "plagiarized" Laura's speech, too.

Here they are..

I only skimmed through them but, at a glance, they appear to be original.

Everyone says they write their own speeches. It's just a thing and the media doesn't vet it. In her mind, she probably thinks she did because she helped. That doesn't mean it's accurate. But, I agree, the sound bite will be used to beat her up, which is unfortunate and, I think unfair. And, really, unnecessary because the Trump campaign should have vetted it. The buck stops there.

That doesn't make it true... Of course she didn't write it. She lied. Donald probably told her to say she wrote it, and she does what he tells her.

I do, too. She's a pawn in this game. BUT, she's a willing participant - ready to be thrown under the bus by her husband and his campaign manager. Maybe she's not as smart and strong as people are saying. Her actions aren't those of a strong woman, IMO. I still don't blame her.

Yep. That's why I'm probably sounding like a broken record here. However, upon further thought...when she says, "...with as little help as possible..." well...maybe that means a lot of help? Just trying to give the benefit of the doubt here.

we have to ask ...

"SO...what does writing your own speech/book mean to you?"

Plaguerism is a big deal. You can be removed from university, lose your job, or be sued if the situation warrants it. It's unsettling that these people, who want to lead this country, can't go without stealing. My standards aren't low although I wish I could lower them so I wouldn't look at people like this with disdain.

whether sabotage or incompetence within the staff I do feel sorry for her.

too bad about the interview with matt. I would have connected with her more if she said she's been practicing her heart out. would have seemed more genuine - I know I would be practicing every minute of every day - yikes!!
