There has been a whole slew of social media hate from liberals calling her an immigrant bitch with an accent. On this thread she was subjected to demeaning and sexist comments too. This whole process is showing the world where the real hate lies. The veil of the left is being lifted and they are being exposed to millions around the world.

I wouldn't be too sure. They have done this a lot and we always think the veil the lifting and everyone will see them for what they are.

In the present case, I don't have sympathy for Melania...just like I don't have sympathy for Michelle.

Melania is what she is.

But I think some of the criticisms are reaching. People who don't bat an eye at Joe Biden are ready to burn her at the stake for having 7 words in a row. People saying she doesn't sound American because she has an accent. Things like that.

I don't like Michelle because of the school lunch dictats. I could get behind her until she made her intiative have the force of law through regulation. No one voted for her and no one campaigned on diet rations in the nation's schools. I don't care what the merits are, no one discussed them or made them a voting issue. It's principle. In that case, she became the poster child for everything wrong with appointed bureaucracy.

I can meet the same challenge that I set - I can link you to both positive AND negative commentary during the night of this thread by me. Actually commenting on the speakers, events and the unfolding of the convention - which is what the thread was for.

Jut as an update, rumours are circulating online (and directly from reporters interviewed at the convention) that there will be a mass walk out of Cruz delegates on Wednesday AFTER Cruz gives his speech. Right after Cruz, Donald Trump's daughter is on to introduce him which is when the walk out is planned. It will not just be official Cruz delegates, but also those bound to Trump but secretly for Cruz...

I am not entirely sure what will happen then, but it will be a massive spectacle and embarrassment for the GOP... I think the reserve delegates will be called to take the place of those walking out, but will all of them come to the floor?

I can just picture him having temper tantrums ever since Trump beat him, trying to plot ways to get what he thinks he deserves.

If these people do anything this stupid, they are just going to lose a HUGE portion of the GOP voter base.

Yes, I quipped about Mrs. Trump's past last night in light of the absurd plank in the Republican platform over the "public health crisis" of pornography.

Family members should be left out of politics, absolutely, but get real. How many times have Sasha and Melia been attacked for absolutely no reason. How many times have snide ridiculous comments about Michelle Obama been made (here.)

Not to mention the disgusting personal jibes at Hillary Clinton's age, appearance, fashion sense. "The pantsuit" etc.

And for that matter, while we're here, the leering sexist BS comments made about Mrs. Trump by "admirers."

Get the logs of your own eyes Righties, then go after the dust specks in your friends' eyes on the Left.
