I don't believe in hell. I don't believe in heaven. That's a medieval invention. But the "god" thought is much older and isn't just the result of people seeing acting agents in the wind. It's the miracle of conscience.

If you want to feel the "Other" contemplate, meditate, ask and you will be heard. Religion is much to personal to have one story working for all. The Kabbalah is more or less just a recipe. Or Java. Not the truth, or "it".
It's like reading a book about programming won't make you an IT-expert. You have to do it.

the human mind is capable of some astonishing illusions. there are some people who cant help it, we call them schizophrenic.

You think god is hiding between the pages of an old book?

When someone busts out the old book then that pretty much takes the thread in that direction.

But if someone brings up the bible then the thread goes in that direction.

I'm way past the old book and even the old "god" thought.

"God" is just a control mechanism to deprive you of your freedom of self.

Have you any scientific evidence God doesn't exist or are you just going by your beliefs, faith in atheism
Just asking, don't get upset

Do you have any evidence that god exists? Or is it just blind faith. Please dont say the bible is proof

God did not abandon us. He/she was not there to begin with.

Its just blind faith then

Yes, its just blind faith

Yes I gave you the answer you wanted to stop the petty squabbling
Still not happy are you, dancing on a grave might put a smile on your face

I am content in my faith and have more than enough valid evidence, sorry

Call it as you wish

Great! Good for you! Still, there is no God. Having faith does not make it real i am afraid.

I can have faith that fairies are real. Does not mean they are.

I tend to believe in science than a book filled with stupidity, obviously written by primitive men

Each to their own i guess

Sure, nobody knows how the brain works, where some of the reactions your brain shows are coming from, but TzarChasm does? Got you

The effect is not the source. Ever thought about how many things are influencing us we can't even measure? Even mundane things, like little critters, toxoplasma gondii, to name one. Your brain is chemically almost the same as butter, yet different won't you agree?
There are weird things happening, magnetic electro field clouds showing up out of nowhere. Just because your mind is firmly closed everybody disagreeing, or having other experiences is mentally ill? That's pretty... let's say weak.

a reply to: daskakik

I understood you wrong. Yes, that was the drift it took. But topic is god, not? May I ask what it is to you?

i am just saying that schizophrenia is a documented medical condition (among many others) which affects millions of people around the world and often features disembodied voices and otherworldly entities that are demonstrably illusory but nonetheless compelling. so lets not act like its rude to suggest such a possibility.

Wtf are you talking about? Does meditating and feeling bliss equal hearing voices to you?

You don't even know what experience I talk about, do you? You think everybody who found god is hallucinating some winged apparitions?
Hate to tell you but that's even more rude than I thought you were.

The Christian Churches teach the Lake of fire is the
second death - how could it possibly be for eternity when the
scripture I posted for your perusal makes it plain that DEATH
shall be destroyed?

except for:

Liberals (yes! they're the worst!)
Computer Hackers (Mark Shasha)
Democrats
Republicans RINOs
Drunkards
Murderers (unless they are republicans)
Rapists (unless rapist and victim are married)
Fornicators (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Adulterers (ditto)
Porn-lovers (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Masturbators (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Hypocrites (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Homosexuals (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Liars (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Thieves (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Sports Fans (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Money-lovers (unless they are fundamentalist ministers)
Perjurers (unless... ok, you get the point)
Blasphemers
Pagans
Muslims
Critics of Israel
Jews
(This list entry removed due to a legal dispute by the Church of Scientology)
(This list entry removed due to a legal dispute by the Church of Latter Day Saints)
Prostitutes
Witches
Gamblers
Nazis (unless they are American Conservative fundamentalists)
Whoremongers
Child molesters (Unless they are priests)
Pot smokers
Lesbians
Furries
Bronies
Psychics

(the list goes on...and on...and on...)

yeah, all these people will die the permanent death just before death is magically abolished. much convenience, such timing, wow.

here is a fun game of contradictions you may enjoy as well.

Bravo, sir.

Apparently you've decided not to read my response also,
or you would have read how NONE of those characters
he posted will spend eternity in hell or a lake of fire.

I can only assume there's a comprehension issue, since
my post explained the exact opposite of what he posted.

Death is NOT permanent, try reading, you might just learn something.

But they are ultimately excluded from life in the glorious city(whatever that is).

Wrong again.

Since my audience would be insulted with proof text from scripture
to prove the character and plan of God, I'll try to enlighten
via a simple question.

Would an all powerful Almighty God be more glorified by saving just a few
for all eternity, while the rest of the billions of humanity
burn in eternal torment forever and forever? (while Satan laughs at
the fact he deceived more into hell than God's glorious Kingdom)

OR

Would an all powerful Almighty God be more glorified by saving just a few
in a work of grace, and then using that few to save the rest of
humanity - and yes, Satan and his angels and every demonic
spirit is included in this Salvation?

You are basing that on the assumption that "an all powerful Almighty God" even exists.

I don't think your audience feels insulted, they just don't accept text from scripture as proof.

May I ask what it is to you?

I don't believe in god.

Even a creator, the universe or source or whatever else you might want to call it never really fits the role of god that exists in most religions.

Wrong again.

Again? I thought I only responded once.

Since my audience would be insulted with proof text from scripture

Or maybe since your enlightenment is from a source beyond the Book, you perhaps find that the Book has only hints and clues. So you offer two choices, as if one or the other must be true; if not this then that.

Your second choice was not presented earlier for consideration, although I caught a hint that you may have a Universal plan like that in mind. I couldn't be sure until you spelled it out.

all powerful Almighty God

hypothetically speaking

be more glorified

If that's what he's looking for

saving just a few

Saving from what? What is the difference between saved and not saved?

in a work of grace

I'm assuming the work of grace is a calling from the Father(God), and a teaching from the Father and Enlightenment from the Father resulting in a chosen-ness by the Father.

then using that few to save the rest of
humanity - and yes, Satan and his angels and every demonic
spirit is included in this Salvation?

Just how, and when is this supposed to happen? And what would it look like afterward in contrast to what we have and see now?
