"God" is just a control mechanism to deprive you of your freedom of self.

Have you any scientific evidence God doesn't exist or are you just going by your beliefs, faith in atheism
Just asking, don't get upset

Do you have any evidence that god exists? Or is it just blind faith. Please dont say the bible is proof

God did not abandon us. He/she was not there to begin with.

Its just blind faith then

Well in most cases involving a moral of a story with strong Christian over tones, God didn't leave, we left God.

we left god by forcing him to leave us because of a flawed design he impiemented with the full awareness that we would eventually force him to leave us but he decided to go with it anyway. and then blame it on us.

the end (?)

I'm sitting here eating popcorn and watching people debate religion, it is rather interesting none the less and has made quiet a topic to be discussed.

Continue on my people

in other words, stir the pot and enjoy the show?

Almost god-like no?

Does that mean you will start another thread to discuss the findings of this one?

what findings are there to be discussed?

News at 11 - God doesn't exist.

And in other news, red is not blue and 1+1 = 4 minus -1048 + 1046.

or is it 2 ?

Who knows. It's a planet full of walking bollocks, not a damn calculator, Jim.

My best logical conclusion: God exists, way too much structure and increasing structure on planet earth to be one big accident. Laws of thermodynamics says there must be an outside force to explain this. Why would God create us? Companionship is my best guess. But freewill creates a paradox, what if we deny God? Some did, Satan and one third of the angels did and got cast out forever (so the Bible says). But man was afforded a view, without God, so as to make a very important decision about that, so the earth was created for that. The Truth of God died from this world (the death of Jesus). He still lives but is hidden from us, and will return some day (when we die). IMO of course. So IMO, God has left us to let us learn that important lesson.

I'm going to assume your statement is made under the
impression and false teaching that the Lake of fire
is for all eternity

Simply use a Bible Concordance and examine the
terms AIÓN -and AIÓNIOS, which have been
incorrectly translated into Everlasting -- Eternal.

You'll find that they mean no such thing.

Only the foolish & unlearned would accept a satanic
doctrine that a man can die in his sins at the age of 21
as a sinner, and then be punished for all eternity in
a Lake of fire.

Such a doctrine contradicts scriptures like
Ps 136:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: FOR HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER

You'll find the term FOREVER used in Psa 136:1 is significantly
different in meaning from the FOREVER used in the proof texts
used by many Christian Churches to prove punishment for eternity.

Another scripture to help resolve your present confusion is
1Cor 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

The Christian Churches teach the Lake of fire is the
second death - how could it possibly be for eternity when the
scripture I posted for your perusal makes it plain that DEATH
shall be destroyed?

I don't believe in hell. I don't believe in heaven. That's a medieval invention. But the "god" thought is much older and isn't just the result of people seeing acting agents in the wind. It's the miracle of conscience.

If you want to feel the "Other" contemplate, meditate, ask and you will be heard. Religion is much to personal to have one story working for all. The Kabbalah is more or less just a recipe. Or Java. Not the truth, or "it".
It's like reading a book about programming won't make you an IT-expert. You have to do it.
