No. Again, people aren't ridiculing biblical stories, just the people who take them all literally, like Ham who takes them so literally that he has bent reality. Dinosaurs never walk with humans. Adam and Eve weren't real people and Jonah didn't live in the belly of a fish for 3 days. People who try to make us believe those stories are anything more than allegory and metaphor are often mocked. But people don't generally sit around mocking fantastic fictional stories, like Aladin, because we know it's not reality. But if someone goes and buys a metal detector and spends all their energy looking for a magic lamp because of the story, they will be mocked.

Didn't you know that early man used to ride the dinosaurs across the land hunting unicorns and fire breathing dragons. I read this story once in a very old book that was actually written long after the stories were passed on for ages from the ancestors...therefore it must be true.

If Ken Ham recants and says the Flood was not global but local what do you do with him?

My point is we don't need a Ken or Bill to validate our world view. Flawed people have flawed logic and make bad decisions. If we both make the same weong decision it doesn't make us right.

Do Priest and scientist, anoint and confirm our beliefs? Is special revelation for the convenience of man, or is there a wisdom that stands outside of the fallibility of man. Do we make up stuff to avoid God or make up stuff to define God?
