African fighting back.

Clearly he doesn't seem himself as an AMERICAN.

Contrast the colonials thought themselves of AMERICANS.

Fighting foreign rule.

There's someone else that conflated events.

Had to step away for a bit. Any new info? Group affiliations, pic of the man...anything?

Yep. See above. Wade through the various ideological glances.

From what I can tell, 3 LEOs dead, 3 injured. Shooter is Gavin Eugene Long according to CBS, apparently ex-Marine, honorable discharge, clean record. Of course, he's being connected to BLM, Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, etc. by some here, as usual.

Wake up his own social media channels show him to be all that is referenced in your comment. Sorry the evidence doesn't fit your narrative.

Sounds like he went after the shooting?

He said he made the decision to go there before the shooting happened, but it seems he went after.

In the video I posted, he claims to have been in Dallas as part of a book tour. I'm trying to find something to confirm that.

So with the last one I posted, and now this one, it was clear he was getting ready:

"I'm affiliated with the spirit of justice, nothing else."

And there you have it folks. The SJW platform is all about the "Patriarchy" (straight white males) that needs to be 'attacked', where the full SJW platform BLM makes it all about 'attacking' the cops.

Neither side of the coin makes ending the War On Drugs priority, 'attacking' the policy that is, and now this is what we're getting.

Fighting the War On Drugs should be the single unifying element for both sides of the coin there, but it isn't, and as a result we have total chaos.

Check out that link. The past month I wrote a whole damn book (literally) on this precise issue, with over 100 images/visual aids, and posted it up exclusively here in ATS, late last night.

I believe that the big picture from my huge assessment there, within it is contained the best hope we have for ending this perpetual cycle of mass killings I believe we're only just seeing the beginning of.

His social media channels also show him to be a vegetarian, an entrepreneur, of royal Ethiopian descent, a radio host, etc.

Sorry those don't fit your narrative of the "facts."

In his channel there I saw some videos he made while in HOUSTON, right before the Dallas videos, so he's probably telling the truth.

I think book tour is probably being incredibly generous.

His own words say the he was part of the Nation of Islam and a Christian, among other groups, but does not want to be affiliated with them.

He only wants to be affiliated with "the spirit of justice".

Heavy article, linked earlier "Gavin Eugene Long: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know"

The cop-killer was apparently a many-splendored thing ... at least, in his own mind.

While I was away this evening I had dinner with my brother. He keeps-up on these issues as much as you or I and his main concern was that these last two men that committed these acts were former members of the military. My brother was worried because he is a vet that served two tours in Iraq and thinks veterans/military personnel will become the next groups to be "targeted" by the media and internet-knee jerkers.

I highly doubt that, but I do think it is an interesting connection.

Just like cops.

Vets have to watch their sixes.

I hope that vets are not targeted, although, every media release I have read has stated something along the lines of "like Michah Johnson, Long was a veteran."

I expect to see some calling for some sort of "testing" of our military members to make sure they aren't "radicalized" or "racistized" or whatever silliness is next.

The issue is that violence is not a political solution, not for anyone or for any cause.

Your brother is not the only vet worrying about this. So is my husband, and every vet/military member he knows. The ONLY silver lining he can think of is if this becomes commonplace (military going Rambo on cops) that services for the military will suddenly improve quite a bit. It's still an unfair trade-off.

I'm a bit conflicted on the issue overall, but the last two events and the conversation I had with my brother have me wondering if our propensity to engage in war, mixed with race issues and politics, will result in more violent actions by our veterans. Similar to that after the Vietnam war.

Our vets deserve nothing less than the best care, both medically and psychologically. Our elected officials, regardless of party, have dropped that ball. Not to mention, they probably were sent off to war for no good reason to begin with.
