These types of photos never help because you can't tell at all what it is. It could be a huge mother ship, or just a red/orange light. It is anyone's guess as to what that image is. I can't even tell if it is in the sky.

Greetings! 1st post here, so take it easy on the newbie LOL. I used a few adjustment/effects software on a popular "paint" program to zoom in on the image appearing in the doorway of the shed. Not saying it's ET looking to be transported back aboard its ship, but it does look somewhat unusual. Whatever this object is, there seems to be a reflective material on it. Too bad the OP can't get in touch with her friend back in Tennessee to find out what this object is.

I've seen one of them before fairly close up too but was more red colour about the size of a double decker bus like a ball of red pulsing energy silently cruising along the roof tops until it disappeared over the horizon a work friend in the next town said his mum had seen two the same night flying across their back garden

I am astounded at this photo, shared with me while visiting my best friend, in the state of Tennessee this Thursday. A young lady that lives in the mountains of eastern Tennessee took this picture, along with many others, she shared 2 of the photos. She didn't hear sounds, she saw this hovering over the trees, her father was on his way home and saw it as well. I want opinions on this one before I share the other picture.

This same thing has been reported on before this incident in the past in the local Nashville news. Associated with FT Campbell KY which is just outside of TN, the news at that time suggested it was something to do with the Army but the General at the time denied it. This was probably 15 or so years ago when they did a story on how middle TN has a lot of this same thing. The reason the news (Channel 4 an NBC affiliate) went with the Army was their cameraman caught what appeared to be paratrooper like figures with parachutes exiting near the top of the circle. The story claimed a bunch of people were sending them video of objects just like that sometimes more than a few.

I just tried to find the story, the news buried stories from years ago and a Google search produced nothing but I remember the story. I will look to see if it was a competitor station but i am certain it was channel 4 who had a photographer go to some house west of Nashville but south of Ft Campbell that had regular sightings. They caught a round of activity and made a big story about it but concluded it was military without any official confirmation.

I haven't gone through the thread, however, IMHO the photo in the op appears to be a VERY out of focus star, the moon, or some other light producing object.

Looks like it was taken with a cell phone. A cell phone that was zoomed in.

Cell phones generally do not take quality zoomed in photos at night. You need a tripod and SLR/DSLR or even a point and shoot with the ability to take longer exposure shots.

I forgot about Mars. I think you've solved it!

It's crazy big looking where I live. I recently was put in no man's land with zero light pollution and I was amazed at how much we miss here, even in a smaller sized city.

It's an out of focus light, and unless there are other pictures, it's impossible to determine what it is. Could be anything from a street light, to a planet, star, helicopter, drone, and who knows what else.

My first of two "alien" encounters was in Tennessee when I was very young. My sperm donor used to take me for walks at night, and we lived in the backwoods farm country, so there were no lights. You could see every star in the sky, and every crater in the moon. A saucer like ship hovered above us and it seemed almost close enough to touch. It was massive. It hovered for a moment, and then instantly rocketed away toward and then behind the moon.

Most of my life I questioned this event as I was very young. I thought it might have been from a movie or a story someone else told me. My deadbeat sperm donor started trying to reach out to me for about a week a few years ago, and I got to ask him some questions about hereditary medical conditions that may or may not have been passed down to me. I also got to ask him about this event.

The phone went silent, and he sounded startled. He then confirmed the story and was blown away that I even remembered it as I was very young.

That's an out of focus light, like the OP picture. Here's a snapshot for people who can't see the video:

Because it's out of focus just ignore the "orb" shape which means nothing, but you might want to see if your camera has manual focus control, and set it to infinity for cases like this (turn off auto-focus). Actually your video is helpful because it shows your attempts to adjust the focus, and you almost get it in focus at one point but you can't seem to keep it there, which is why it looks like you're not using manual focus mode, if your camera has that option. Anyway the OP and others should watch this because it shows how adjusting the focus changes the appearance of the object. from an "orb" shape to something more point-like when it's closer to being in focus.

The OP's snapshot doesn't give us enough information to identify the object, but since yours is a video we have more information. The object is scintillating quite a bit, so that means there is a lot of atmosphere between you and the object, especially because it's low on the horizon, right?

If you have a smartphone, you can download a star-identifying app to your phone and if it's a star, it will tell you the name of the star when you point your phone at it. Even without your phone, you can still input the date and time, and your location into Stellarium, and look in that direction. Stellarium will identify heavenly objects in that direction, so you can see if any match what you videoed. Stellarium also has a satellite option in case it's a satellite (not enabled by default), or you can use Heavens-above.com for identifying those.

Have a look at the other videos though (under that same account). It was moving very erratic! up and down constantly, side to side. stars don't do that?

Is there any reason to think it's any more than a person standing in the doorway?

Stars don't, cameras do, when they're not on tripods.

I took almost identical photos and video in Asheville NC about 2 hours west of Nashville. ATS has made photo uploads almost impossible. I caught the same object on cam around mid July this year. The kids pointed it out after we ate dinner and were walking back to the car.

If it didnt have any sound it might very well be a spacecraft, you see, some believe they use anti-gravity to move which means they can travel without sound. Skeptically thinking it just might be a speck of some sort on the lense, you know, if there is only one photo like that, I would need a lot mnore evidence, more photos to convince me

I had a similar experience with the "white light". Imagine the rural Ozarks, wooded hills and small fields in the valleys. Really nothing else out there, and if it were a helicopter there is no way you would miss the sound. You can hear a pin drop on these quiet nights.

Around 8:30 PM, from the house, looking out a sliding glass door towards a field, I witness two red "orbs" that fell into view. As they approached tree top high, they "faded out" before nearing the ground. Color was as hot coal, or embers. Made my way to the upstairs where a balcony overlooked the same field, as I stepped out on the balcony, the whole field lit up bright white for about 10 seconds, then it went out like a switch turned off. Perfectly clear night, absolutely still. No noise. The white light did not seem to be coming from above, but seemed to emanate from the "air" itself. It was a white light kinda like lightening at night, but not quite as bright.

I got in to the jeep and drove all around the property immediately afterwards. Nothing else happened. This is enough proof for me this is paranormal or something we dont understand. Please dont insult me with remarks about helicopters and drones.

If you look at the time elapse photos from Project identification, you will see this exact movement. I have seen it myself.
