Cool...Early sixties, Best friend and his dad along with another group were out Raccoon hunting about 2 am...No moon...Black as could be...All of a sudden they were all in this light...They said it was lighter than daylight...Lasted for a couple of minutes and then it was dark again...

No porch lights on, this was around 11 pm on the mountain top. Lit the yard in a circular pattern. She said it was so bright it turned everything white. On their security camera this lasted about 4 minutes.

I am astounded at this photo, shared with me while visiting my best friend, in the state of Tennessee this Thursday. A young lady that lives in the mountains of eastern Tennessee took this picture, along with many others, she shared 2 of the photos. She didn't hear sounds, she saw this hovering over the trees, her father was on his way home and saw it as well. I want opinions on this one before I share the other picture.

I've edited my previous post. The image from the security camera looks remarkably similar to ones I've seen on my own cameras, of a police helicopters' infrared search light. That would also explain the red tinge to the original, out ioffocus light in the sky image. If she actually saw the yard light up (probably in bright white light), and then it just "turned off" that was probably the spotlight on the helicopter.
So I'm still going with police heli. It's quite common here in Albuquerque...They fly around dark a lot, except for the tail lights and the occasional red glow from the infrared beam. And you don't hear them until they're almost on top of you..

NOW, after I finished the video something unexpected happened. It flew out into space at super high speed about 5-7 seconds after I ended ghr recording, looked like a shooting star but then agine it was unexpected . I was not aware that would happen as to why I did not capture it. But I kid you not it happened. No sound , constant speed the whole time. Looked very red and round . But was very very noticeable as to why I decided to record the thing.
