Well, their words were carefully chosen. They didn't say that...exactly. Kerry said to respect the democratically elected constitution if I'm not mistaken. At least that was the statement I saw.

Alexandroupoli (Greece) (AFP) - A Turkish military helicopter has landed in Greece carrying eight men seeking asylum, the Greek police said Saturday. The Black Hawk helicopter landed after sending a distress signal to authorities at the airport in Alexandroupolis in the country's north. Seven of those on board were in military uniform and all are believed to have been involved in the coup bid, ERT TV said.

I also saw just above My post to You that EnhancedInterrogator offered some information, that is helpful as well....

Apparently according to the MSM as of this morning, Erdogan has announced that the coup has failed and he gov. Is back in control.
What I don't understand is how the 2nd largest army in nato (behind USA) cannot take over, via. A coup? I also read that there were factions within the military that are pro Erdogan. As seen with the jet (Turkish Air Force) shooting down a helicopter (Turkish army).
I also seen video where an attack helicopter is firing on civilians, and I haven't seen footage but there are reports that there were tanks firing on civilians as well.. Savages over there for sure.
