I feel more comforted and confident with Donald Trump saying this, than I would be if Hillary Clinton were sitting there saying the exact same thing.

Also, the fact that CNN doesn't have this speech mentioned on their website is further testimony that Donald Trump did an excellent job!

None of what you describe will address the systemic subtle biases people have over people who look differently.

As I said, my friend makes more money than I do and has achieved more than I have -- and yet he still gets followed around in stores. People still make assumptions about how he got his job based on his skin color. Servers at restaurants treat his family different because they assume there's no tip in it for them.

None of that stopped because my friend is well educated and well off. He has good self-esteem. He isn't a criminal. He's not downtrodden or suffers from feeling worthless.

And yet he still experiences things that I do not because I'm not his skin color.

It's amazing what a teleprompter can do to make Trump sound more intelligent.
If he would have prepared more of his statements during the primaries, he probably would be getting a larger percentage of votes and full Republican support as he heads into the GOP Convention.

He also needs to change that fish mouth when he talks.

Nope, nope, nope and if you play football, you play with the ball.

Even when he does something all can see is right, he is still the bad guy. It's obvious that even when he is being part of the political game, he's the worst man ever.

Dont want a politician in politics? Good luck with that. The others will be much better I am sure.

Naww, he's being manipulated and is a seasoned actor pirate. don't trust Trump. He's a politician now, you know.

I thought he was supposed to be different?

Why the canned response that plays on emotions like a seasoned politician?

Key difference is he didn't "blame" like every other politician likes to do whenever the opportunity strikes. Obama, Hillary, those types just want to lay blame, cause division, use any opportunity present to push an agenda.

So there is a clear difference if one has the ability to listen and has followed him.

Spoken like it was scripted. Pretty much all people can do is bag him for his appearance.

Taken to task on his policies, when they're not distorted by left wing ferals there is no reply... funny that.

Then you must live in an area much different than where I live.

Where I work, I don't think people even notice anyone's race, and there is a fair distribution of many races.

My kids went to school with kids of various races. Their friends were different races, and I don't think that they even really noticed. Their friends slept over at our house, and my kids at their houses. They played sports together and were best buds. I remember taking bunches of them places, like out to eat, and they all called me "mom". I don't think that anyone even blinked an eye at my "family". My son had girlfriends of a few different races. I really almost thought I was going to have a daughter-in-law from India, but that did not work out.

So, remember there must be hope, because the whole country is not like you are making it out to be.

Sorry, but if he had full support from the GOP, I would be much less likely to vote for him.

I am not alone in this.

The GOP sucks ass at almost everything they try to do. The same goes for the Dems.

I'm happy that he didn't say anything inflammatory, but I want this period of mourning behind us so we can get back to the sh!t-slinging, from-the-hip, rhetoric that melts the Dem snowflakes and quakes the stone-faced hypocrite GOP.

I really, really think that you have never actually listened to Trump's speeches.

Sometimes he gets animated, and sometimes he is passionate about what he is saying. But he has very often spoken exactly as he did in this video. Of course he is going to be serious and subdued about this subject, because it is a serious, scary, dangerous time that we are going through. He has been just as serious addressing every other serious issue.

I do like the hair recently though.
Natural is much better.

Most people don't have the ability to discern between genuineness and acting. Trump is being genuine in this clip.

What the hell do you think Trump was doing with this statement? He was using the event as an opportunity to further his presidential campaign and agenda.

He is a candidate for POTUS, not Jesus.

Were Trump truly wise he would name Dr. Ben Carson or Rep. Mia Love (R-Utah) as his running mate. These recent events really call for him to pick a running mate who is not a white male over 50.

"Our children deserve a better future than what we are making them live through today."

Trump is absolutely right. Hillary and Obama want us to believe that things are getting better... when in fact everything is getting much, much worse. You must be blind, deaf and dumb if you think otherwise.

If the current trends continue imagine what this country is going to be like in 10-20 years.

Do you prefer lies read off of a teleprompter?

For instance Obama, he sounds smooth, I would even call him the best orator in modern American history. Even I find myself slipping into a near state of believing him when he talks, smooth as silk.

But when you hear his words, and then see his actions, you know that everything he said was a straight up lie. Same thing for all of the talking puppets that are selected.

At least this guy sounds believable and can stand on his own when he speaks.

If people could think themselves out of a paper bag maybe that would understand the words that are coming out of his mouth.

Have you seen what happens to him when he doesn't have a teleprompter working? He gotten better but it was a hoot the first 5 years or so.

All I can say is if Hilary becomes president every ambassador should resign and come home if they know what is good for them...just saying...
