So sick of this praying garbage on twitter. Please STOP IT !

I have a bit of a rant, here we go.

Every time a city or country is bombed by religious scumbags in the name of their worthless pathetic scumbag god, you look on twitter and what do you see. You see #PrayForCity or #PrayForCountry - today is #PrayForTurkey (Istanbul was bombed, lots of people were murdered by religious people)

Well, I've seen #PrayForTurkey already. I saw it the last time religious people bombed Turkey. They already prayed for Turkey after that happened, yet it was bombed again. Either praying does not work, or your god is a pathetic joke of a deity and can't do anything.

How about instead of #PrayForCity, you #StopTerrorism ? Wouldn't that be better. Praying for a city obviously doesn't work, or your god is a loser and also has no powers, or both.

If you want to pray then why don't you #PrayForEarth? Wouldn't that cover all cities?

Why wait for a city to be bombed before praying? Why not pray before it's bombed, or is the reason you don't because it will prove how garbage praying is, and how worthless your religion / beliefs are?

Praying is one of the stupidest things a human can do.
Is your god all powerful and all knowing? No? Then they are not a god.
Yes? Well then why are you praying, they already know what you are thinking and everything in existence. Praying would do nothing in this case.

Don't they have a divine plan and this is all part of it?? No? Then they are not a god.
Yes? Then why are you praying? This is part of a divine plan.

Also, the religious people who murdered and killed others - they were praying before and during their bombing and murdering. What does that say to you?

If you pray, you are part of the problem.

I'm not on twitter much but I can't help thinking that maybe it's the people you are following or those that are following you?

Perhaps just clean up your lists somewhat can keep you from seeing things that you aren't interested in?

I believe that for some people the act of prayer is just a ritual of sorts for them to breathe and focus positive thoughts for a minute.

I have told folks that I would pray for them, as a comforting notion, and I am unsure if I believe in the traditional 'God'.

I just wanted to send those positive vibes out if you will.

But, I have prayed to someone/something.

Which god are you talking about, out of the tens of thousands of them I'm not sure which you are referring to which you think is real. It's not 50/50 either, it is more like 1/500,000 chance that you are right.

That said, I'm not talking about a god, I'm specifically talking about praying and how useless it is.
Praying proves that praying is useless, or that whichever of the thousands and thousands of gods it is you are praying to is fake.

Praying..... Nothing more than comforting the masses so they think they are actually doing something. 250,000 people get killed in a tsunami ( news.nationalpost.com...) and you think there is a God, let alone one worth praying to. lol.

Either there is no God or the God is not worthy of our respect. God is nothing more than a dictator, do as he says or be punished.

After 100 cities have been bombed by religious people in the name of their god, and each time others prayed to their god to stop it, it continues. What is their plan for the next 100 cities that get bombed by religious people.
