One not need to have served to claim him/herself a patriot.

You can disagree with the government, our politicians, etc. all you like.

If you take violent action against our government (at any level), our institutions or our way-of-life, you're a traitor and a domestic terrorist.

I don't care if you don a tri-corn hat while you do it; you're an enemy.

Gryphon, I love ya man, you are often the voice of reason when I want to punch people in the throat.

If people are using the keyboard to voice their opinions, are they so different from us?

I consider myself a patriot.

Now any call to arms, via keyboard is probably some low-level FBI freshman who got stuck doing computer work to see who the trouble-makers might be.

Again, just my opinion.

And people wonder why the FBI kept tabs on self proclaimed "Patriots".

You are probably right, I am just over these keyboard patriots. You and I have ageed, disagreed, argued, and probably called each other names. But, we continue to discuss, and try to resolve issues, like most adults.

More Orlando is a false flag drivel. Pretty much for me anybody who starts calling themselves a patriot or patriot group is about the last thing from it.

Yep. It is my long held belief that the title of patriot is not one you can give yourself. It is a title that is earned through action and sacrifice.

People who self identify as such is a big red flag in my book.

Believe it or not the word has a definition. You don't have to like it I suppose but it's there. Perhaps you could use other words that fit?

The word has a dictionary definition, and it has a different definition in the minds of those that have actually served their country. If you have not served your country, you have no idea of the second part of the definition. The part that says, you and your buddy's all have each others lives in your hands. You have no F'n idea

I do violence to no one. I posses no weapons except those I was born with. But I have a mouth, a brain, and family bigger than all of ATS membership. Together we can achieve
the impossible.

BUT.....There is a difference between force and violence.

Your body is made up of cells....so then are you a terrorist? Well, are you?

Do not attempt to turn this thread into what it is not. I am no terrorist.

Why? Just because one of HUNDREDS alphabet agency took a word and terrorized it doen't make it:

1. Just a word

2. Nothing to do with terrorism as per my thread opening.

No matter what you say, you will not change the facts here. I am stating the LOVE of my country and I want to show my Patriotism.

But we all could be considered "key board" warriors at some point depending on the topic.

What defines a patriot on the internet?

I served, but I've known people that have served that I wouldn't call patriotic.

I'm loath to post my 214, as most would. so we simply have to take for granted the things people say. But being this is a conspiracy site, a healthy level of skepticism is probably required.

Personally, I save most of the drama in my life to movies on PPV. Sun rises, sun sets. The world keeps turning.

Sometimes, I think we make the times we live in too important.

You reply to me as thought I've suckerpunched your DD214. The word has an English definition. Whatever you add to it really isn't of anyone else concern for good or ill. There are much stronger words to describe your service, such as veteran, wise, battle-hardened, blood-brother (my fav). I'm sure you have more. No ones pissing on your service here.

Just reminds me of the Patriot "Minutemen" making it their duty to police the southern border.

Arizona kicked them out. Yes, Arizona.

My government runs comprehensive in depth background checks on me every quarter...and I let them! Part of my 30 year profession.
I am no terrorist and this is the last time I am going to say that.

Do not hijack this thread or attempt to take it to the ridiculous.
