We don't get to cherry pick what our taxes go to.
Why are not Christians saying they don't want to pay for bombs when it is anti christian to kill.

I'm sure most would if you asked them or gave them a choice. But again, this isn't about my choice to decide.

This is about me and everyone else being told they have to do something for another person's decision.

I will state this for whoever. These programs save lives and have a real tangible effect on our country.

Taxes are not your to use and even if they were people are arguring that saving lives is the wrong thing to do because it is "too expensive".

Take special note here. These people do NOT care about anyone but them selves and maybe their family. They DO NOT care about the country or whats best for everyone in it. All the care about is the tab. The fiscal bottom line.

Morality? They pretend clumsily and unconvincingly to hold some sort of standard. And they do. That standard is what is convenient. Nothing more.

Well, that's my point Mr. Phd.

We all make bad choices in life and wrong turns. That's how life works and that's how we grow and learn. You're a fool if you think you can stop that from happening. You made your choices in life and were allowed to learn from them. Now it's time for you to allow others to do the same instead of choosing their life for them.

Maybe with all that knowledge you know what's best for everyone. Maybe you don't. But it doesn't matter does it, because all you control is your life. Let others control theirs because if you don't you're stealing from them. You're taking away their freedom and liberty to live their life and make mistakes and meet challenges and grow. Let them do it. When they want your advice or decide that they want you to make their choices for them, I'm sure they'll ask you. Until then, it's not your call. You have your life to live, so live it and let others live theirs.

That's the thing folk give up when unwanted kids are born.
You all bleat how wrong the women are for having choice but come up with no real answers.
It is just another attempt to put women in their place.
If you don't agree with choice don't have an abortion...
What right do men have anyway dictating what women should do with their own bodies.
Come up with ways of educating and reducing abortions instead of vilifing women when men are as much to blame.

EXACTLY!!

Now you know what it's like for a woman when she's told she has no choice in what happens with her pregnancy and that she must have the child because someone else decided that for her.

Again. Should he have to pay for it?

Seems an awfully long rant about letting people do what THEY want to do and staying out of the way. Shouldn't THEY have to pay for it then.

Nonsense.

RCC and Evangelical Christians have been in the forefront of offering free medical care, counseling, adoption and other aid to single mothers etc. for decades.

Your allegation is plain wholesale wrong, inaccurate and farcical.

I stated my opinion on abortion. I've voted against it and obviously my side lost. I can't change that atm.

But if it's YOUR choice to do it then I in no way should be subsidizing it. It's YOUR choice, not mine.

I don't think people understand the real animosity that exists with some pro-life people that our government forces us to subsidize the murder of unborn kids.

It's repulsive and sickening.

It does seem they are bit confused on what exactly they are supposed to be so much "better" than others at. I would like to say that they have a sound reason for this, but i dont spread information i know to be lies. Which is a morale that i guess they don't abide by.

I've been a champion of personal free-will choices all my life.

That does not include, for me, dysfunctional, murderous, suicidal, etc. choices that are grossly unnecessary and more a function of oligarchy propaganda than truly informed choice.

Nevertheless, I've given far more time, energy and resources to helping pick up the pieces than I've ever given to trying even to preach against abortion.

My posts hereon are about as strident as I've ever been and this is almost the only venue I've been that strident in.

Nevertheless, I resent having to pay for someone else to murder their unborn child.

Yeah, they do pay for it. Or is every woman who's having an abortion come to you first for money which you then pay for in full???

You're argument about having to pay for it also seems a bit shallow IMO. They're not all whores who just go get knocked up because they want some sweaty sex while they praise sinfulness, ya know.

Sometimes they're just women who are in a tough situation and need some help.

But of course that would take maybe showing some empathy for them.

I'm actually pro abortion, a 4th trimester kinda person. Spartan style. If that baby even remotely looks like it might be unsavory...off the cliff with it. You replied to me then lumped me in with the group I disagree with. Stop that.

How will you force woman to carry a child they do not want?.
Champion of personal free will my arse.
Christians services....I have to deal with a fella who was told only last year at Catholic care that was told if he masterbates he will get aids.
Cheers for that it has done him the world of good...not.

Evangelical Christians also tell children that they will burn in hell for all eternity if the don't worship their crazy brand of mystical sky demon.

Christianity rules through fear of damnation. I will never consider any help they offer to be genuine as long as their motivations are to impress the itty bitty being of their fantasies.

Your not understanding. Let me try and clarify, it's been heated.

The situation doesn't matter to me and here's why.

I view the fetus as a living, breathing child. The same way I view a 1 year old etc. I view the fetus as alive and human in the same way you would look at your newborn son, daughter, neice etc.

You wouldn't advocate killing your 1 year old son or neice for any reason.

I can't advocate abortion for the same reasons. Can't do it.

Would you want to PAY for your 1 year old son, daughter, neice etc. to die? Would you want to pay for me to kill my 1 year old?

I'd wager no.

It churns my stomach to think that even a paltry penny of my tax money might go to this and it makes me feel complicit to murdering a child.

Why would you want me to do that?

I don't think people understand the real animosity that exists towards those same pro-life people that they use the government to force their lifestyle choices on others whether they like it or not.

But as we all know EVERYONE seems to be trying to Force EVERYONE to live and act a certain way and it's building to a point where NOBODY can deal with it anymore because we're all being forced into someone else's BOX which we don't want to be in.

It sux. I know. I can empathize with you. I feel the same way. So does everyone else. We all just have our different reasons for feeling that way which change from one person to the next. But you're not alone, believe me.

I don't want you to do something that upsets you so much, I've said that already. It's not my decision though. I said I wouldn't have a problem making up your share in fact.

I think you should have a choice. Just like I think these women should have one too. Me being pro-choice doesn't mean I support anything with the Gov. taking your money. That's just how it is and it happens to us all. But that isn't a reason to take away people's choices in life.

I'd rather lose all my money to taxes if it meant people being able to have choices of how to live than keep all my money and have us all forced to live by what someone else chooses for us. Right now, we are somewhere in the middle.
