You are not. Unless you've been around LGBT people a lot?

What does it mean? It means intersex people only make up 0.05% of the population. That means it is abnormal to be born chromosomes other than XX or XY.

And the point is?

Gingers and left handedness are abnormal too.

Yes, I agree, gingers, and left handedness is abnormal too. Maybe you should learn to read so I don't have to explain why I have stated such a fact.

They are not less than 2.5% of the population*. That's usually the threshold for 'deviation' or 'outlier'

*Natural red-heads are much more prominent in North/Western cultures and less so in Southern/Asian cultures where they are considered abnormal, deviations and/or outliers.

Have we *not* been talking about the government *forcing* doctors to promote and reinforce the confusion of people who claim to be transgender? And do you think that people in workplaces are being threatened under force of 'sexual harassment' lawsuit to promote and reinforce those confusions at our jobs?

Yes, we are. Pay more attention.

EDIT: Oh, and let's not forget about promoting and reinforcing in schools. Seriously.

Another member asked me to define normal. So I did. Now you are giving me crap about it. Learn to read.

Duh!!!!

This person asked you that after you said this:

Don't you dare claim I lack understanding of biology, right after you tried to compare intersex people with normal people.

Again what was the point of your statement? Like I said many things are abnormal. It doesn't add anything to your argument.

Then why don't they accept the reality of their situation?

Are you that dense? They do not deny their biology. But their brains (yes it's biology) is of the opposite gender.

They *think* they are of the opposite gender. There is a difference.

NO, they know exactly what Gender they are.

They obviously don't.

You'd probably understand more if you took the padlock off your brain.

Have we not shown you that it is not a confusion? Doctors know more than you do and they are aware of gender identity. They do not promote it LMAO.

Also have we not debunked your OP and article many times? Perhaps it's YOU who needs to pay more attention.

And why are you talking about schools? Quit going off topic.

No, if anything you agreed it is a confusion when you said 'because their brains tell them differently'

You haven't debunked a dang thing.

Read the OP. Pay attention.

I've been paying attention. You apparently haven't.

You still cling to the delusion that gender identity is a make believe. Gender dysphoria is not an illness. If you really knew biology and psychiatry you would already know that.

Gender Identify IS make believe. It is a mental construct, a concept of the mind. Gender identity is how a person perceives themselves.

Here is the definition:

Gender Identity: One's innermost concept of self as male or female or both or neither—how individuals perceive themselves and what they call themselves. One's gender identity can be the same or different than the sex assigned at birth.

Perception: A way of regarding, understanding, or interpreting something; a mental impression.

It is all in the mind.

Gender dysphoria is a mental disorder, I never said illness. However, the two can be similar. It indeed is a mental disorder, which is exactly why it is listed in "The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders".

Dysphoria is a state of mind. Here is the definition:

Dysphoria: a state of unease or generalized dissatisfaction with life.

Gender dysphoria is often treated, and many undergo surgery and take medications... why would any of that be necessary if it wasn't some type of illness? What are they treating if its not an illness of some type? Why is it covered by health insurance? You are either healthy or you are ill. Why would healthy people need treatments? Do you get where I am going with this?

Maybe you need to educate yourself beyond what the LGBT community preaches.

Rubber/Glue. You keep your opinion, I'll stick with the biology facts.

Yep we have. Giving precedence to transgender people over others? Debunked. Not in the rule. Start with that.

Will you advocate for other disparaged people who are shunned for similar biological differences, such as those with multiple personalities?

I haven't seen a lot of debunking going on, unless debunking now means as hominem attacks and begging the question. But, OK. It's the internet. No one wins here, we just get to think we do.

Still wondering about that sentence in the DHHS summary, if you're game...

I prefer to think of it as "a mental disorder characterized by abnormal social behavior and failure to understand what is real."

No, all you have proven is that you live in a fairy-tale world where you don't think some people would take advantage of a discrimination suit against a doctor.

the doctor could be found to be discriminating

This means that the patient could sue and in the course of the investigation/trial the jury sides with the patient.

Grow up. We live in a overly litigious society. Why do you think medical care has been getting more expensive? Doctor malpractice and other legal insurance.

Straight out of DSM:

Part of removing stigma is about choosing the right words. Replacing “disorder” with “dysphoria” in the diagnostic label is not only more appropriate and consistent with familiar clinical sexology terminology, it also removes the connotation that the patient is “disordered.”

But I am sure you already know since you're quite the expert in biology and psychiatry.

Kind of wondering what personality reassignment surgery would look like. Do we add a fake head or two? Do we divvy up one body into several? Sounds rough.

I don't think anyone really shun them. We understand more about them.

Anyway that disorder hurts people.
