WE ALL know how I should treated...
This idea is as much of a lie as the rest of the P.C. garbage we hear about.
As med records are FOREVER getting screwed up ,enjoy the chaos, this crap might KILL someone.

More ignorance.

More unnecessary nonsense.

What is stupid is you taken by the BS presented by the OP and his far right click bait.

Read the actual rule by HHS.

All it covers is that there is to be no discrimination by the doctors as per Title IX.

Ding dong . . .

I replied to the thread title, not the OP.

So to confirm, you want to take this to a spritiual, physic and/or metaphysical discussion? Because that will open a whole 'nother can of worms.

No, I do not wish to take this conversation in that direction because once we go down the road of subjective intangibles or esoteric beliefs, you'll bring your god into it and things will really go to hell. My point was science papers and books are/were irrelevant to my own understanding of self long before I could even read. Did you have to read a book to know you were a man?

I'd prefer to keep it in the science/biology realm, because it all boils down to how our brains interpret the world around us *and* we don't have to argue our own perspectives on the spiritual.

Yeah, since that isn't something that can really be argued.

Our paradigms are forged based on what our brains receive in feedback from the rest of our body. And if the rest of our body is 'broken' (ie color blind, deaf, etc) or if the brain is wired wrong then we are going to have an abnormal perspective on the world and/or ourselves.

And here is where your choice of terminology and attitude takes a bad turn. "Broken", "wrong" and "abnormal" are not the way to describe naturally occurring deviations from the norm. Without diversity, our species would not exist but I suspect you don't believe in evolution? Some people are going to be born homosexual. Some people are going to be born transsexual. Some people are going to be born in the middle of various spectrums. Your vilification of those that don't happen to fit your particular paradigm is detestable.

I think you said it best with "my day-to-day life except when dealing with medical professionals and my unique health care needs," because you are an individual. Your outlook on life is completely different from any other person on the planet. I feel safe saying that no other person claiming to be transgender feels the same about themselves as you do about yourself.

I don't "claim" to be transgender. In fact, I personally find that label somewhat insulting and undesirable and do not use it to describe myself and yes, I am an individual and my experience with transsexualism not representative of those that are transgender. I think you will find those from birth that were trans/gender dysphoric as children, or those of us that formerly were that have actually changed sex are completely different than what the modern perceptions of what a transgender person is.

Although under representative for various reasons, using SSA records and 2010 census data, researchers have identified 135,367 individuals likely to be full-time post social transition transgender people with around 90,000 still alive today. Out of this group, data shows that between 1936 and 2010, perhaps roughly 30,000 (or less than 1/3 of those living) of post transition transgender people are also post surgery transsexual people that have changed their sex designation in government records. Out of that group, somewhere between 9 and 10% were transgender children which works out to something roughly like 3 out of every 100,000 male births according to other researchers. So yeah, I am a statistical outlier even among those that actually have changed sex whose average age is between 35 and 45, so things I share about my own experiences or attitudes are not representative. Very few, I'm going to say less than maybe 500 to 1000 people my age that were transgender as kids survived out of childhood and are still living so I can't be used as an example.

We are all individuals trying to get along with everyone else and make it through another day. And for the most part we do without any 'help' from government.

Quite honestly, neither you or Ketsuko have demonstrated the vaguest hint of "trying to get along" with transgender or transsexual people and have consistently done nothing but spread disdain and derision and done your best at repeatedly maligning these factions. Like moth to a flame, trans topics inexplicably attract both of you and your attitudes and opinions are demonstrably anything but trying to get along and are exactly to the contrary of doing so, so don't give me your crap about trying to be tolerant or understanding.

My problem is when central planning tells steps in and over-corrects a problem that really isn't a problem, and brings the bludgeon hammer of government, civil rights, and regulation into the mix.

Yeah, if everyone was like you, people of color would have their own drinking fountains, lunch counters and bathrooms and your type would still be wallowing in bigotry, hate and ignorance. Sometimes, the bludgeon hammer is necessary for progress and equality because left on its own, it won't happen.

Or just a drive by hit?

I try not to expose myself to excessive stupidity.

One thing you got right...

The title, the OP and the article are stupid. None of it is factual. The sad part is that the original poster is unaware or unwilling to admit that he and his article have been debunked few times here.

Not as much as those who have the plumbing or lack there of to claim the LEGAL rights of their opposite.
Which as we speak HAS reached a rediculous apex indeed ,the Pedos are salivating for THEIR rights, now.
I DIDN'T and never said I WAS Klingon I SAID it was my LIFE'S choice and as such based on current criteria I DEMAND you recognize it.

WE all make OUR own CHOICES who we are.
HOW FAR can such choices be taken?
Apparently a few work for YOU but mine does not, proving a bias,in both ideas and thought that are NOT surmountable by anything but feelings.

Nobody is stopping you from wanting to be a Klingon. Just don't expect the doctors to treat you as if you actually have a Klingon body. And besides the doctors don't have to recognize you as Klingon because that isn't covered by Title IX.

Your argument is getting more ridiculous.

It is as valid a legal claim to tie up the courts as any.
Its NOT half as daft as letting men dressed as women into PUBLIC restrooms.

Stay on the topic please. The article has made a few claims, one being that doctors have to ignore the biology of transgender people and another one being that the doctors have to give transgender people precedence over others.

WOW! So you're saying doctor's have to use specific pronouns so they don't hurt their patients feelings? Nobody gives a sh|t about your feelings.

It's not my feelings we are talking about here.

I'm going to assume you are a man, here... Would you be upset if someone continually referred to you as ma'am? She? Her?

What bathrooms do you think they've been using all along, before America decided to get their panties all in a twist over the bathroom thing to begin with??

Assaulting another person, in a bathroom or otherwise, was already illegal before all this nonsense was even a thing.
