Gun Facts

Here are some great facts from this page. Facts that the MSM and some politicians choose to leave out.

We see how often a gun is used to destroy lives. We don't see how often they are used to save lives.
We don't see the numbers on whose house got broke into. A known gun owner, or someone who is known for being against gun ownership?

What I don't see is anyone trying to shoot up the crowds at Bass Pro where even grandma is open carrying.

Per the above link, 200,000 women are not raped every year because they had and used a gun to protect themselves. Would you rather they just don't struggle and think happy thoughts to make it easier for everyone?

The only way they can get a gun at a gun show is to purchase it from a private seller, which is to say the exact same way they can just purchase it from anyone via the local newspaper, Craigslist, or any other means that a private seller would connect with a buyer. Dealers at gun shows are FFL deals and have to run background checks.

I still don't understand why there is even an argument on what the legalities should be with firearms.

The ONLY people who the laws would affect are the law abiding citizens.

There are people who want to get rid of welfare because it costs too much and why should they have to pay for it. People who want to get rid of abortion because the death of babies is too awful to accept. People who wanted to ban gay marriage simply because they disagreed with it?

It's kinda like that... but with guns. Some people feel the cost is too great (in lives), too many dead innocent people, and why should they have to pay with their lives for something they have no interest in supporting?

I'm not saying I agree with it... But both sides are looking to infringe on the other's ideals.

My take is... We already know NSA is tracking us in EVERY way they can. I think we need better database filtering and notification systems. Better algorithms and effective escalation.

Because the lawmakers are not abiding by the laws they make and if enough of that keeps happening, those law abiding citizens will get fed up enough to put a permanent stop to the aforementioned lawmakers' actions through the use of the 2nd.

Doesnt matter the state law buddy. It's Federal Law. I believe it reads like such, If you are in the business of selling, refurbishing or gunsmithing, you need to have an FFL. of course I am paraphrasing there, but thats the meat and potatoes of it. SO, basically if you are selling guns to make a profit, then by definition you are in business of selling guns, and therefore have to have an FFL and do background checks. Now, if you are cleaning out your closet and are selling that old shotgun you never use, that is a different story. Or, if you give a gun to your wife, son, grandpa whatever.

This whole narrative you folks put out there about just walking into a gun show and buying whatever you want from anyone with no background check is nothing short of pure bullsnip. same as these internet sales. Sure, you can go to a website and purchase a gun, but guess what, it is illegal to ship it to you directly. It has to be shipped to a local FFL where you do the background check and paperwork for the transfer. Which is usually $25 on top of the shipping and cost of the gun.

So, who about you folks that know precisely D&^k about a subject, go learn about it before you begin to spout out crap that you know is not true.
