We are basically forced to be 'ok' with the idea of gay marriage, transgender people and anyone who we don't consider 'normal'.

Some others have asked you here how you are "forced" to be okay with the idea of marriage equality. The answer is still pretty simple on that score, if you don't like or believe in same-sex marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex.

You don't like "the idea" of two men or two women being married to each other? How would anyone know? How would you be "forced" to change your mind?

Same with trans* folks. Trans* folks just are. They exist. In terms of you being "ok" with that, what's the other option?

Are you going to chase someone down that you think is Trans* and, what, spit on them? Tell them you don't think they have a right to be? What do you want to be able to do about someone who is Trans* that you now perceive you would be judged harshly for?

And finally "normal" ... this seems to me bluntly to be a ridiculous level of complaint. Who cares who and what you think is normal? How are you coerced to do anything?

What are you being prevented from doing? Telling gay jokes? Openly ridiculing and laughing at gay people?

The fact that "society" has changed it's stance on gays and lesbians, and because you can't say hateful things or act in hateful ways ... or, offer your opinion that we are unequal or unnatural or whatever your particular belief is ... what exactly do you want "done" about that?

In short: what is it you want to be able to do that you aren't able to do now? How are you being oppressed?

God must be a real Weasel. Or at least yours is. I wonder... why would a benevolent, omniscient Creator God design an entity that can be born, quite unwittingly mind you, with the capacity to love the same sex? It seems as though such a god would be setting it's own creation up for failure. Pathetic.

okay, lets get one thing straight here.. My good friend of nearly 10 years is a lesbian and it's not an issue for me.
My problem is all of the hate people receive when they do not agree on the matter. I understand that everyone should be accepted no matter what but I don't appreciate that 'community' bashing others who have a different opinion about the matter. Savvy? a reply to: 3danimator2014

THE GAYSTAPO

If you're not for them, you're against them

I promise to tolerate them, but i'll never 'like' them

Of course if you try to use YOUR rights of freedom of association or of religion. You are tagged, bagged and threatened into submission by these people that trout equality and freedom of expression.

What's an example of this?

A practical real-world example that you've experienced.

I don't think that we're "forced to be accepting" as much as we're repeatedly told that it's okay if they be who they are, and that if you don't like it, harassment is not the appropriate response.

Obviously you disagree, but that's the way I see it. Yes, of course, there are certainly a very vocal, what I refer to as the "militant wing" of the LGBT crowd, who do try to force acceptance and special treatment and throw hissy fits at every turn when something doesn't go their way, but for the most part, LGBT folks just want to be left alone and treated like individual human beings and not individual gay human beings.

And there's nothing wrong with that--it's like many moms say, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."

Is it that hard to ignore a segment of society if you don't like something about them?

Not sure if there is much to be done about it. Gender identity is the liberal soup de jour right now. I could care less to be honest. We just need to make sure we can have an open and honest debate about any controversial topic without being labeled a hater.

The only thing that's got me scratching my head is the bathroom debate. The bathroom is more about functionality. If you are a women who identifies as a man the urinal is still going to be a tricky device to operate.

You should never be forced to think of gays or transgender as normal.

But normal, abnormal, they/we all deserve equality.

I personally would only label someone a hater who says hateful things, i.e. "trannies are sick freaks!"

There are a few options:

1. The trans male has completed the physical transition and now has an appendage that works at a urinal.

2. This person could use one of the stalls instead of a urinal.

3. There are devices that women can use to pee standing up (I used one when I went wilderness camping and had to pee outside, and didn't want to get it all over myself). Unlikely to be used in a public bathroom, but possible.

Does that at least stop you from scratching?

I noticed this happening a lot and it's really upset me and even ruining my life.

My mind play association a lot. For example, when I'd see a heart I'd think of love, when I'd see a rainbow I'd just think of a cool visual effect, when I'd hear the word gay I'd just think happy.

Now after a couple decades of and the forcing us to perceive their sexuality I feel ruined. When I see anything remotely like a rainbow I think of homosexuality and get irritated. When I hear the word happy I think of the word gay and then think of homosexuality. I would go on the internet and get forced onto the occasional gay site and see gay porn clips. I don't think it's very funny to force humanity to perceive and think about something that is very offensive to see. The majority don't even show their ideas of affection in reality as much as the lgbt community.

To me it seriously feels like their saying "LOOK AT US LOOK AT US! Then taking a crap in front of me.

This type of new age movement ruined my life. Because of the fuss with gay marriage when I think of marriage now I think of homosexuality. They actually ruined the concept of marriage to me by polluting my mind with the propaganda. If I met another woman I wouldn't even bother getting married because during the ceremony I'd be thinking of homosexuality.

Several times a day now I'll think of homosexuality because of how much our mainstream media has psychologically assaulted my senses with it.

And what am I told? Tolerate it! You assault me and ruin my life and I'm just supposed to tolerate it?

Whoever is influencing reality and doing this type of stuff to humanity needs a kick in the head.

I asked this in a similar thread

what bathroom do people with multiple personality disorder whose personalities are both male and female and also identify as different things go to?

sure this is bound to come up sometime!

How does the law determine that ?

Never really given them much thought.

I just wish we would just practice what we all preach about equality and stop trying to force people to "think" any certain way.
It's eerily authoritarian.

Time to hear God's perspective via the bible, like it or not.

1 Corinthians 6: 9-11

9 Or do you not know that unrighteous people will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Do not be misled. Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality, 10 thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners will not inherit God’s Kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean; you have been sanctified; you have been declared righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.

There are angels in heaven right now that "were" homosexuals, when they learned about Jesus and God they changed, just like every other category mentioned there, they are also former alcoholics/drunkards that are angels too, they changed too. Interesting that "adulterers" are also on that list too and nobody pays much attention to them these days either.

My problem is society is promoting this all to the max, when God says: "hey you have to change", if you are being supported by everybody, that motivation will never be there. And judgement is up to God, not us Christians, but we do know what the bible says, and societies endorsement of all this goes 100% against what God wants people to actually stop and think about, what they are doing just might be wrong from his perspective not our human perspective.

Take Jesus example of judgement on the adulterer, he said no one should judge her, BUT he also said sin no more, he was asking her to stop.

If dad tells little timmy not to put his hand on the stove, 50 times, and little Timmy thinks he knows better and he puts it there and doesn't get burned because the stove was off and does it a few more times, builds confidence that it's ok, then one day it's on and he badly burns himself. And no I am not talking about these people getting burned in hell as a punishment from God.
Rather....
Dad was right, and our heavenly father is right, even if we don't fully understand why.

Multiple personality disorder is not the same as gender dysphoria, so any non-discrimination law protecting transgender people does not deal with that.

I imagine they would do what they have always done?

My man, if you can't help thinking so much about homosexuality all the time, you might as well be honest to yourself and come out of the closet.
