Yeah. Remember the good old days when it was just about which bathroom blacks could use?

Yeah, Rosa Parks should've just dealt with it and sat at the back of the bus.

Damned uppity people not knowing their place.

I prefer the back of the bus much better than smelling the drunk guy that walked in and passed out in the first seat. Do you people realize how crazy it is to be arguing over which bathroom someone can use?? My god what happened to this country when this is even considered an issue. Its very simple if you look like a woman use that one if you look like a guy use that one what do you guys think transsexuals just popped up yeterday?? They have been around for decades and they have been using the bathroom. And strangely no one noticed or cared.

Funny we have bigots on one side then the gay community on the other wishing to be accepted by these same biggots. Facts nor all people think it's OK to be gay news flash they don't have to. And for bigots out there simple continue on as before you didn't even notice them before so what's the issue

Oh, that mean, hateful, discriminating kid!!! She needs a class, clearly......

/sarcasm.

ha indeed. Perhaps some ritalin to ensure her ideologies are properly enhanced as she's forcibly shifted into the hive mind of all things PC.

Sounds about right! Assimilate or else is the new mantra!

Where can I find evidence of this mantra?

Every single case of someone being fired, or having a lawsuit filed against them, because they dared to not agree with what someone else believes.

Nope. Before y time. Also not relevant, because one's sexual identity isn't a race issue.

It's simple. Use the facilities that match the plumbing. Equal for all.

Not Equal for those with Gender Dysphoria.

Simple, they use the facilities that match their gender identity.

As has been stated time and time again, that isn't what this is about. This is about there being no standards to determine who uses what facilities, and that is a real problem. This isn't about someone who had surgery being told to use a bathroom that no longer matches their parts.

No, equal means it matches anatomy. That works for everyone. Doesn't matter who you like, or how you dress; only the anatomy matters. That is equal.

Correct. How astute.
It's a gender equality issue.

I don't remember the 1970's-1980's having only black bathrooms? Fill me in.

Are you saying it's a myth?

No Phage but it was the law in the 70's / 80's was it not? No More Segregation. The days when it was good, not talking about the 1950's or 60's here.

Right. Things have improved since then. Just last year, actually, when the absurdity of saying that only some people can be married was dealt with.

Religious conservatives lost that fight, so they decided to decide who can use which bathroom and started writing laws about it. Laws which were never necessary before.

And? when did it become passe' to speak one's truth opposite to PC Movement?

I fail to understand why the Marriage/Bathroom theme has become front and centre of all things good, it was good in the 70's and 80's, i dont recall anyone complaining about that back then.

yes you're right Phage, they lost their fight, but still there are millions of people who Don't agree with the new PC Views who are now doing exactly what you say the Religious Conservatives did?

2 wrongs don't make a right, right?

The Civil Rights Act was signed in 1964. I was a senior in high school.

It still blows my mind that this happened in my lifetime.

Also, the Fair Housing Act, Disability Act, EEOC, Women's Rights, Marriage Equality, and a few others.

I like being on the winning side

Me too. Maybe you should ask those who made laws prohibiting those things from certain groups. See, there were no laws about same sex marriage then. There were no laws about who could use what bathroom then. Those laws were written...by someone...when they realized that "Hey, there are not laws against it. We have to write some!"

No, equal based on biology, not on belief. Since there are so many variations of beliefs, that's the only logical solution.
