The claims were made y Cynthia Mckinney for starters. Her sole source was a person she wont name and he wont come forward because he supposedly
signed a non disclosure agreement with the federal government, which should be red flag number 2. Since she made the claims no one else has come
forward, including the red cross who she claimed could verify this anonymous persons claims. This person claimed that all 500 bodies he processed had
a single shot to the head.
I don;t buy the story and thats based on the reaction to the gun grab they dod and the cops who shot the people on the bridge. If they cant cover up
cops killing people on a bridge do you honestly believe they can keep quiet the "execution" of "5000" people?
Now, as for the 700+ missing -
We are talking about a city, that thanks to the army corps of engineers and their levees, resulted in parts of the city being below sea level. Thanks
to the refusal of the governor / Mayor to evacuate people you have a situation where mass casualties were inevitable.
Not everyone can swim.
Not everyone who can swim is good at it.
You have sea creatures swept inland that dont mind eating corpses / live people.
You have land animals that dont mind eating corpses / live people.
You have an environment that can increase the rate of human decomp.
You have an environment that makes it very easy for a corpse to simply disappear in the muck / swamps / bayou / etc.
You had such an disorganized evacuation that made it easy for those who fled the city to be lost in the refugee / red cross system.
You have people who fled the city and never realized their status was listed as missing who didnt come back to NO.
Louisiana is the only state in the Union thats based on Napoleonic code instead of English common law.
You had such a chaotic number / layers of government involved that made the situation worse.
You had children placed with family / friends out of state whose parents / guardians didnt make it.
Those layers of government did not coordinate / work together.
The Governor of Louisiana refused to place her national guard units under federal command and the only way Bush could have forced the issue would have
been to declare Louisiana / New Orleans in a state of rebellion in order to federalize the guard.
Sometimes situations like Katrina create an opportunity for people to simply disappear on their own for their own reasons.
I can keep going but you get the idea.
Were people murdered? absolutely. By police? absolutely? By each other? absolutely.
Were 5000 people executed? I say no because it could never have been kept quiet. Personally I believe (and im gonna get attacked im sure) race was
playing a factor in those claims. Comments by Nagin about NO being a chocolate city, them blaming Bush and the speculation Bush didnt do enough
because the people were black.
There is nothing illegal for a person 18 and older to pack up their bags, walk out the front door, never tell anyone where they are going and never
looking back.
