This could certainly put a whole new twist on things. Hearsay. Yes. However....

A former classmate of Omar Mateen, the gunman who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, believed the 29-year-old killer was gay. A man who was in the same 2006 police academy class told the Palm Beach Post that Mateen once asked him out romantically, and said they had spent time together at gay nightclubs after classes at the Indian River Community College police academy.

Saw two men kissing and was repulsed by it? Or saw two men kissing and flew into a mental, jealous rage?

Asked if shooter was gay, ex-wife responds, 'I don't know'
"When we had gotten married, he confessed to me about his past -- that was recent at that time -- and that he very much enjoyed going to clubs and the nightlife," said Yusufiy, who divorced Omar Mateen in 2011 and said he was abusive and unstable. "So, I feel like it's a side of him or a part of him that he lived but probably didn't want everybody to know about." "Do you think he was gay?" Burnett asked . Yusufiy was silent for three seconds. She glanced to the side, shook her head a little, and said, "I don't know."

Wait for more facts, eh?

What if the entire country, nay, the world, has leapt to an enormous, erroneous conclusion?

Gay condemnation is not exclusive to Islam

Could be some major conflict there. Repression. Who knows.

Another source....

He believed Mateen was gay, but not open about it. Mateen was awkward, and for a while the classmate and the rest in the group of friends felt sorry for him.

What if he was crushing on someone and that person wound up being with someone Latino or something, which could explain why some were reporting that he was asking what ethnicity people were before he shot them. What a mess.

But contains a larger percentage (100%) than any other group. If you gonna go with facts , state the entire facts. Dont leave something out because it sounds better to omit part of it.

Um no. This is just a spin to make it look like a hate crime.
This was a terrorist attack.
- this mentalist was probably one of the smartest terrorists on a while. a wolf in sheeps clothing.
Careful research, planning, infiltration, execution.
50 + deaths, no bombs needed. A careful , precise, methodical, attack on a group he scoped and defined.

No one could have suspected him if he seemed 'non-threatning.

Hate crime? Or crime of passion? Jealousy? Could be spun a few of these ways, along with all the other ways it is being spun.

Honestly? We will probably never really know.

Right. So what some assumed was him casing the place doing "research" may well have been that he just hung out there. And apparently at other bars like it.

One might argue he did more than wake up one day, got guns, went to club and shot

I never insinuated it was. However, they own a big block of it.

At this point, anything is possible. He was surely a very angry person, and filled with hate. Former classmates and coworkers confirm this.

If so, though, seems like a real powder keg, politically speaking. If so, that would make him a homosexual Muslim terrorist/mass murderer.

No matter how this goes, it's all bad. I hope people can take a step back, and not be too quick to promote any animosity toward any group. Seeing a lot of that sort of promotion lately, and it needs to stop. Too many seem willing to remove the rights of a group they dislike, citing blame. Let's sink that plan, and do something else! Let's reject that, promote freedom for all, and neighborly caring, even when we don't agree! Wouldn't that be something?

I get it now, ISIS are made up entirely of repressed homosexuals. That explains everything doesn't it? They're angry all time, subject to mood swings, transit between violent beheading and party elation in a heartbeat. Actually, they are bipolar repressed homosexuals! They enlist the aid of other repressed homosexuals to kill apparently happy homosexuals because they're Jealous. /Sarcasm off

FFS's, it seems like that is what the media wants us to believe lol, it's all about homosexuals.

They are trying to spin this as a hate crime with the usual victims. Think on this though, if a white guy walks into a bar filled with white people or black guy walks into a bar full of black people, then proceeds to kill all the people in the bar, that's not a hate crime, that's mass murder and/or terrorism.

Mental illness, motivation, never easy to unravel and even more difficult in this climate of millisecond condemnation.

And is sure woud be something. Love and caring instead of hate and blaming. What a concept.

I was going to open a thread about this after some research. Glad someone else beat me to it. The mod's might want to move this out of the skunk works because what's coming to light is he might have had homosexual tendencies. This would be in direct conflict with his religion and caused serious controversy in his mental health. It also something that had been going on for years so not a sudden issue in his life.

Another witness 'saw Mateen on gay dating app'

A second person has said he saw the Pulse club gunman on a gay dating app, as well as seeing him at the bar with a drink. Kevin West had earlier said he met Mateen more than a year ago when he reached out to West on Jack’d, a dating app for men.

Now, Cord Cedeno also said he saw him on it, the Washington Post reports. “He was open with his picture on the sites, he was easy to recognise,” said Cedeno, 23, of Orlando, who said he was also contacted by Mateen at least a year ago on a dating app.

***SNIP***

Gunman often went to gay nightclub

At least four patrons have said they saw the gunman Omar Mateen drinking at the Pulse bar several times before the shooting. Ty Smith said he saw Mateen inside at least a dozen times.

Sometimes he would go over in the corner and sit and drink by himself, and other times he would get so drunk he was loud and belligerent.

We didn't really talk to him a lot, but I remember him saying things about his dad at times. He told us he had a wife and child.

Chris Callen, who performs under the name Kristina McLaughlin and is married to Mr Smith, told the Canadian Press he had also seen Mateen there. “He’s been going to this bar for at least three years.”

Both Callen and Smith say they stopped speaking to Mateen after he threatened them with a knife, apparently after someone made a joke about religion.

“He ended up pulling a knife,” Callen said. “He said if he ever messed with him again, you know how it’ll turn out.”

Ah...should have let you do it. I was enjoying my 666 posts.

Thanks for posting more information. To be frank, my first thought was more along these lines than the ISIS path, but people seem to find the "facts" they most want to believe.

I respectfully disagree, from all the crap coming down the pipe, it is beginning to look like a psychological diversion.
