so someone calling 911 and declaring allegiance to ISIS has nothing to do with a connection to ISIS?

am i reading that right?

If you're having a mental break and you're gonna go, go big, am I right?

Odd how with both this and San Bern they all of a sudden declared allegiancce to the convenient enemy of the day.

Isn't that playing right into PC, though? If you're playing along, you can hardly criticize the game.

I don't care WHO it is, if I'm suspicious about someone's activities, I'm going to report it. I'm not afraid of what other people think.

You were the one who said failure to call it Islamic terrorism is just political correctness. This would be one example of why this creates a problem. I'm glad you can recognize that much though.

Folks, the problem is other people knew. Like the mom in San Bernadino. The mom in Boston. People knew and did nothing. That is the worry that you should have in this country. It is not playing out as it should because we are told to not say anything.

The Imams....
The relatives...
The friends....

NO ONE SAID ANYTHING and guess what...they are ALL Muslim. So, tell me how guns caused this? There are more guns in the US than citizens.

when that white supremacist massacred a bunch of women and children at a church last december, was that a terror attack or just a 'lone gunman filled with hate'?

This is not a MASS SHOOTING. It is a TERROR ATTACK. It would be like calling 9/11 an airline crash. You are all so brainwashed....

It was ISLAM. That is what pushed this man to do these things. It is an ideology. A way to live.

He called 911 prior to the shooting and pledged allegiance to ISIS.

Stop defending killers. It was a religion that killed those people and others.

and read this....

www.allenbwest.com...

Instead of condemning a radical part of his own religion he blamed guns. JUST like San Bernadino...they know...they choose not to say anything because by proxy they can still say they were following their religion but their hands hold no blood....

Thats bull#. Mass shooting or terrorism its the same! Murder is murder!

And no its not like comparing 911 to a aircraft crash as a aircraft crash is a accident not delibratly caused by a person!

Evidently not so I'll break it down for you further:

Somebody calling 911 and saying IS is great I love them isn't a connection to IS.

Somebody who is in communication with, receiving support from, or both is connected to IS.

Being a fanboy doesn't make one connected to something.

Nope. Don't try to back peddle. You trivialized it. This is not a mass shooting. It is a terror attack. A mass shooting is Lanza. This was a coordinated effort by a known terror organization that killed over 50 and wounded over 50 more.

Is an attack on a base in Afghanistan described as a mass shooting? No, it is a warzone which is what ISIS is bringing to the doorstep of the US. War.

What will you say when 6 simultaneous strikes hit local Wal-Marts across the rural US? What happens when a local sports event is attacked? Is it still a mass shooting?

This is, officially, the largest mass shooting in U.S. history. That's simply a fact. What caused it is subtext. Not that we know that yet.

Hmmm

I'm not sure i totally agree with that. The belief in a similar cause is what connects them.

Also where did he get support from?

Possibly, but if so, it's one that's working quite well in both directions.

I think that's overkill. When talking about this kind of terrorism, it's more or less a hate crime against all of us who do not buy into that ideology. Yes, he went to a gay bar to make his attack, but if it wasn't them, it would have been somewhere else sooner or later.

According to the definition, it was a hate crime because it specifically targeted gays (wait for it) for being gay.

It was also an act of terrorism; therefore, terror.

Terrorism AND a hate crime.

You're agreeing that it's both but just wanting to argue nuance, in typical fashion.

Smh.Carry on.

Who said he had support to begin with? Not me. Don't know that anybody has said he did.

I think it's a shame that Firefly was cancelled. So does Joss Whedon. And yet we have no connection whatsoever. Having "connections" doesn't mean you think the same thing somebody else does. It means being able to get something from somebody else.
