They have to step their game up and invent it. We can find things in deep space to finding new atoms. We should be able to find a gun in a car. I'm not talking about the easy invention of manufacturing guns with built in tracking devices but actual scanners at the entrances of gun free zones. As soon as a gun is picked up by the scanner the police immediately go to stop the person and investigate.

The guy had a license so it wouldn't have made the slightest bit of difference if he was "investigated" for having a gun in his car.

Dogs can sniff out weapons, they need to make the scanners to be able to detect the molecules from the odor of the weapons. Very sophisticated technology. Police cars could have this technology too.

Neighborhoods should have the right to vote and petition if they want these scanners at the entrance to their neighborhoods. I guarantee areas where it's 1 block, or blocks and blocks of bars and restaurants they would want these scanners in place.

I just sat through that I interview.
They need to take her someplace and sit down and have a decaf coffee.... try to help soothe her nerves a bit.
Instead of having her relive her last 11 hours all over again.

I'm an electrical engineer. Things just don't work like that. The laws of physics cannot be broken, irrespective of how badly someone wants them to be. A machine with the proper sensors can detect abnormalities in the electrical / magnetic / gravitational fields within a small area and alert that these fields are abnormai. They cannot detect materials which do not affect those fields, materials outside the area being scanned, nor materials covered by more massive materials that produce similar effects.

If we ever figure out an indicator that only 'weapons' emit, I'll let you know.

So far everybody I know that knew somebody that was at Pulse last night either as an employee or a patron is OK.

Also... Pride week is at the end of this month. Every pride parade in the country is going to be on high alert.

Apparently, this is a known issue with Muslims and gays.

This article lists two attacks in Seattle, an arson and an execution.

The one they had speak out this morning, Musri, spoke out that the US was responsible for 9/11 and he hosted a Hamas fundraiser.

And an imam who spoke in Orlando in April said that gays must be killed out of compassion.

A suspect was arrested with weapons at the L. A. Pride Day event.... explosives in his vehicle.

Crap, this isn't looking good....

A man born in the US with native Afghan language abilities? Oh yeah, this guy had a skillset that was in demand in certain circles. You can be sure he was a US Military vet with a background in private contracting.
