Many countries offer free tuition for example. In fact university of California was free until the 1980s so even in amarica it was done. Tuition does nothing but prevent children from reaching there potentials. He also wants to stop the government from profiting on student loans. Imy rest rate is curently 4.29 percent. He proposes to set it at 2.37. His other plan allow people to refinance student loans at lower rates currently you can't refinance student loans. And he plans to make grants available with a tax on speculators raising 75 billion a year. This part may or not not be feasible unfortunately will never know now.

We've had socialist policies and programs here in the US for many years that do just fine and have been a clear benefit to everyone. Not everything is better off being controlled by Capitalism and For Profit.

Exactly. Many of his policy ideas aren't even anything new to this nation. They're just not mentioned anymore because it might cut into someone making a profit from the new way of doing things.

His policies wouldn't do anything for me either even if they did go through but that isn't why I supported him. The reason I supported him is simply because he knew and understood that allowing corporate interests and the super wealthy to buy politicians and effectively buy the government meant the people were always going to get screwed.

He was against using SuperPac's and he wanted to stop the link between extreme wealth and buying politicians. That one single things right there must be changed before any other change can be made. Without that being changed nothing else even matters because the Government will only act on behalf of who buys them. Which is only a very very few people and they don't give a sh*t about the other hundreds of millions of people in this country. They care about themselves only.

Actually many of his policies lead to less government. And he doesn't believe the US Govt should make profits off its citizens.

Trump has been in the spotlight for many years now for various things, long before running for president. He knows a thing or two about good publicity, and bad publicity. He knows about advertising, hype, social engineering, and subliminal messages.

He knows how to herd the sheep with sheepdogs.

Hire two actors; one will play the innocent victim, the other will play the bully. Have them go out in a public area with lots of people, somewhere highly visible. Have the bully start yelling and screaming at the innocent victim, causing a disturbance, knocking things over, and generally acting irrational.

How many people do you think will agree with the bullies actions? Probably zero people.

How many do you think will automatically side with the innocent, stand up for the victim, and step in and get involved in helping the victim? Probably all of them.

It's that simple. Trump is the innocent victim. The bullies are the actors he hires to make people jump on his bandwagon. Mix in some mod mentality, and these hired provocateurs get free helping hands from legitimate idiots.
