It's the progressive left's fault that a lot of foods in Australia apparently have Halal labels? Don't the food producers do this to increase the size of their customer bases?

No, lies. How is certified halal water, sugar, milk, coffee, sanitary products, et al, cater to a global market.

Effing Cadbury Chocolate is now halal.

Why should WE pay for a thing that goes no where else, to satisfy your minority.

Vegemite. Made from spent yeast. that makes beer. Halal.

And there are 13 organisations here to certify, and one, halal australia, with mohammo elmouelhy, has become a millionaire from this - he BRAGS about it.

give me a break. the apathy is sickening.

Apathy? Clearly you didn't read my 1st post where I basically said the same thing you just did. I literally typed this before explaining what isn't Halal:

A lot of "Halal" labeling is pointless, kind of like the "gluten free" labels on fruit. All fruits, grains, and vegetables are naturally Halal.

Though yes, Cadbury is now "Halal" because their food was found to have lard in it even though it wasn't on the label. So now, they're just making their food products according to their labels, which only makes sense. Unless you want companies to put ingredients in their food without listing it on the ingredient labels?

Dude, nearly everything is naturally Halal.

PAY FOR IT YOURSELF THEN. FFS.

LOL Who buys my food for me? I already buy my own food, except when I get food from my Mom's gardens. Then again, I help her with the garden work enough that I've probably already "paid" for it through sweat and labor. Does that count? LOL

Halal isn't a big deal
OH, yes it is, if Australia, and i would think most western nations, wish to "export" their food products around the world they have to produce halal certification at the point of entry. The muslim organisation in Aust make millions every year with this scam.

Have you actually gone to a grocery store in Western countries? We have far more Kosher certified foods than Halal certified foods here. And guess what? Kosher restrictions are far stricter than Halal restrictions. Like I said before, food producers add Halal labels to appeal to more potential customers. And a lot of the labeling is pointless because the foods are naturally Halal even without being "certified", which I've already addressed twice now.

Do you eat citrus fruits? They're naturally Halal. Ever eat any kind of leaf, be it in tea, on a sandwich, or in an entree? They're all naturally Halal. Ever eat grains like wheat, rice, or oatmeal? Or tubers like sweet potatoes, casava, and potatoes? Or any other fruit or vegetable? Unless you purposely dip them in lard or blood, they're all naturally Halal.

The same goes for breads and nearly everything else, unless you intentionally add blood, lard, bacon, humanflesh, or roadkill to it (or kill it in the name of Zeus or another non-God deity). In fact, virtually all meats are naturally Halal as long as you don't beat the animal to death, strangle it to death, push it off a cliff to its death, or let wild animals maul it to death before eating it.

Honestly, a lot of you sound like little brats right now. I bet all of you have been eating and drinking Halal foods all day and didn't realize it. In fact, in order to make your meals and snacks non-Halal (haram), you'll have to intentionally add blood or pork products to everything you eat. Or you'll have to kill the animal in the name of something other than a name for God, or basically torture the animal to death. And ironically, those foods would still be Halal if you were starving or not craving them when you ate them (as I showed in the actual Qura'n's passages in my 1st link). LOL

Wow, I'm really enjoying myself here.
I started off annoyed, but this is getting fun. And Ramadan starts tomorrow night, so I really should be ignoring you all. But I can't stop lol.

If you won't eat food because someone prayed, then you are a fool. Its dead meat regardless of how it gets to you.

Surely there are more important things in the world that you could be worrying about?

Ironically, it's not even that serious. Like I keep saying, all fruits, vegetables, grains, and the such are already Halal naturally. If he picked an apple off of a tree and ate it, he'd be eating a "Halal" food.

He even specifically pointed out dairy products in the OP which is laughable. What processed dairy products have blood in them? Raw milk can have blood in it, but that's one of many reasons that many countries pasteurize and process their milks before consumption anyway. People might as well complain because their tea is "Halal". (It's kind of like someone who mocks vegans suddenly getting angry because they found out their favorite bread or salad is technically a vegan dish.)

As I showed in my first post, nearly all foods are already Halal. Nobody has to bless them or do anything to them, since the Qur'an is incredibly lenient on what we're allowed to eat. The only non-Halal foods are the things I listed, which the Qur'an says are still permissible if we're starving or don't crave them.

have you ever seen a halal slaughterhouse ,sorry im not a fool for not wanting someone to pray over my food and im not religious but this is a case of one minority getting their own way with false promises of extra economy for their business or if they dont go halal they are told their product will be boycotted by muslims yet you see nothing wrong with this

They were always Halal. Many of you simply don't seem to know what Halal means, which is what's causing the confusion.

Because they're winning the war on terror and they'll kill us!

Im not scared, Im the same to all, except muslims seem to get this extra special treatment from liberals because no one calls them out for being the sexist, bigot supreme beings they really are. If Trump became a muslim tomorrow then the left would apologize to him for offending his then unknown destiny and prejudging him for the greatness he had become in his new faith. Im afraid it has become that bad. The media is partially at fault. The millenials scare me with their fragile on taking, life is gonna be very hard for flakes to exist.

Is it meat and is it dead?

If the answer to both is yes, then it's food.

You're just making up excuses to try and suit an argument.

Or maybe the left realizes that Muslims are just as diverse as every other religious group? Just as there are misogynists & bigots in every demographic, there are also feminists and accepting people in every demographic. The problem is when people try to lump all of us together based on stereotypes and then get mad when others don't do the same.

Starting tomorrow night, I might since Ramadan starts then. We're supposed to fast from food & drink, but also from our vices, temptations, anger, sex, and the such. So I don't want to engage in any petty arguments then. Besides, I've got some pretty lofty spiritual goals I want to finish by the end of Ramadan.

...however it's not Ramadan yet lol. And I'm temporarily enjoying putting out these imaginary "fires".

A lot of people are afraid because of all the violence that follows that belief system. When that happens, more and more inroads are made, and nations end up becoming Islamic.

You are trying to excuse your own bigotry.

Whether something has its throat cut and is prayed over, or has a bolt shot into its brain after being stunned, it's still a dead animal that has been reared for its meat. It won't taste any different or cook differently.

Do you also despise committed Christians for saying grace before they eat?

You mean like the last 500 years straight of wars waged by the Christian-majority Western countries? Or the tens of millions of people killed by atheist communist regimes in China, Ethiopia's Derg regime, and the other Cold War proxy wars? Or the millions killed and raped by the Buddhist-Shinto Japanese empire, like in China and the Korean Peninsula?

Human societies have always been violent regardless of their supposed ideologies and beliefs. There are violent Buddhist and Hindu extremist movements right now that rarely get talked about in the West. And many of the Central American drug cartels and Italian organized crime families are proudly (and notoriously) Christian. I think it's better to blame the violent individuals instead of the ideologies/religions they claim to follow.

Bigotry ? You are a moron i said I don't want anyone praying over my food ,it's about my free choice so get over the bigotry card . This is about companies hiding the fact something is halal and feeling threatened with the bigotry card if they do not comply. Too easy to say bigotry isn't it ?

There's a lot of bad people out there. Murderers of every colour and creed.

But Muslim murderers differ in this one particular.

They commit their crimes in the name of their religion.

The term 'Islamist extremists' is not an idle use of language.
