Nope, I don't need to watch another you tube pseudo science video. Do like the videos of star destroyers flying over LA. Can you answer how you get to space and orbit communications satellites using flat earth physics.

I'm not saying the Earth is flat either. I just really doubt humans have been out of this planet. But I haven't completely turned away from the flat earth theory. They seem to make good points and I take that and all the lying the government has done and I come to the conclusion that there's something else going on. Something they are not willing to tell us.

Pretty sure satellite data makes it rightfully so. If you don't think there is satellite data then you are disqualified from discussing these things.

I was honestly shocked when I found out that Flat earth was making a comeback. I remember the flat earth society from like 10 years ago. I honestly believe it is either a group of trolls doing a social experiment, or religious fanatics. The arguments are absurd from top to bottom. Debunking it is way too easy.

If you look at the southern sky from Chile and then from South Africa, you see the same sky, with the same southern stars only angled differently. On a flat earth model, this is impossible because the tips of Africa and South America point in completely different directions.

Flat earth theory is funny because they just explain away all of the real data with excuses but offer nothing falsifiable for flat earth. Basically, they are set in their perspective that all nasa evidence is faked, but offer no proof. All you need is a telescope or an understanding of geometry.

It is equal difficult to proof that the world is flat as it is spherical.

Completely false. My example above is all you need to prove it. There is not a single piece of valid evidence for flat earth. Why has nobody given us a picture of the edge? I've seen the Admiral Byrd interview and it's laughable that people interpret it to support flat earth. He says that it's an unexplored landmass the size of the United States. Look at it on google earth. The fact is the surface area of Antarctica 5.4 million square miles, while the US is 3.8 million. So his estimation was pretty close. It's gotta be a troll theory that religious folk are soaking up (like young earth creationism) where they will believe it all blindly 100%, and dismiss all contradictory evidence as fake.

Maybe it’s good stars can’t be given in this forum; that might contribute to a civil debate.

And as to ludicrous lies, how do we know?

Simple repeatable experiments that anybody can do, prove the earth is a globe. Call somebody in the southern hemisphere and have them look at the moon with you. It will be the same phase, only inverted. Also the verification of the southern sky can be confirmed from the southernmost continents. On a flat earth they don't point in the same direction, so they shouldn't have the same sky... but they do. Then there's the earth's shadow on the moon that is circular and makes no sense on a flat earth. In fact none of the seasons make sense nor does the moon phases on a flat earth. This is just one of those things, people love to soak up because it sounds cool and agrees with their religion. It's gotta be a troll group.

Flat earth is just obviously too absurd. There's really nothing to even discuss.

With evolution denial (young earth creationism), they can't verify that it's true without studying the science and understanding it. They can't just look through a telescope and prove it as with round earth, although I'd personally be all about putting that stuff in here too. I'm all for discussing opposing viewpoints, but arguing flat earth is like arguing for fairy god mothers. There's literally nothing in its favor that isn't a complete lie.

I didn't know this section existed until a few days ago, but I know where to go for comic relief now, that's for sure.
